To avoid possible risks of fire always comply with the indicated instructions when cleaning anti-grease filters and when

removing grease deposits from the appliance.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,

or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance

by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Caution: accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.

This kitchen hood is intended for installation in domestic kitchens above cooktops, cooking devices and similar kitchen

equipment.

DESCRIPTION

The unit can be found in filtering hoods or in exhaust hoods.

In the Filtering hoods (Fig.1) the air and steam taken up by the unit are purified with charcoal filters and returned

to the environment through the aeration grids on the side of the flue. WARNING: When using filtering hoods, both

charcoal filters and an air deflector (A) must be used. Located in the lower part of the flue, this deflector recycles

the air to the environment.

The charcoal filters are not supplied. In the Exhaust hoods (Fig.2) an exhaust duct conveys the steam and cooking

odors directly outside through the wall/ceiling. Therefore they do not require charcoal filters.

Your apparatus is supplied in the filtering version so that if you want to install the apparatus in the duction version

you must remove the charcoal filters.

INSTALLATION

To facilitate installation, before starting remove the grease filters:

To remove the metal filter/s (Fig.3 or 4), in line with the handle, push the stop inwards and pull the filter down.

Wall fitting (Fig.5): making use of the appropriate drilling jig (Fig.6), apply the supplied blocks into the wall,

and remember the distance between the hood and the cooktop must be at least 65 cm. Insert two of the supplied

screws so that the apparatus can be hooked onto these ones by means of the holes provided on the appliance

(A). Once the apparatus is hooked, fix it definitively to the wall using the two other screws and the holes made

at its bottom (B). To avoid damage make exclusive use of the holes already prepared on the hood.

Securing the telescopic flue: Basic installation requirements:

– Set the electrical power supply within the space covered by the decorative flue.

– If your unit is installed in an Exhaust hood, prepare the air exhaust hole.

Place bracket (W) 50 mm from the ceiling and position this on the vertical of your hood, with the aid of the notches

on the centre of the bracket (Fig.7); using a pen, mark the 2 holes on the wall and then make the holes and

fit the screw anchors provided and proceed to secure the bracket using the 2 screws (provided).

Exhaust hoods: connect the disposal duct to the air evacuation pipe of the hood; use a flexible pipe and lock

it to the air evacuation pipe of the hood with a metal hose clamp (pipe and clamp are not provided). Make all

power connections to the hood by means of the power cable. Take 2 assembled flues and place these on the

upper surface of the hood. Raise the upper flue as far as the ceiling and secure it to the bracket using the 2

screws (Fig.8).

Filtering hood: make all power connections to the hood using the power cable. Fasten the air baffle to the lower

flue as shown in Figure 9, using the 2 screws. Take 2 assembled flues and place these on the upper surface

of the hood. Raise the upper flue as far as the ceiling and secure it to the bracket using the 2 screws (Fig.8).

Also remember that charcoal filters must be used in the case of the filtering version; check to see whether such

filters are already fitted; if necessary, proceed to fit as follows (Fig.10): fit the charcoal filter by turning anti-clockwise.

OPERATION

Controls shown in Fig.11:

A = Light switch; position 0: light off; position 1: light on.

B = Motor switch; position 0: motor off; position 1-2-3: motor on at speed I, II and III.

C = Motor pilot lamp.

Controls shown in Fig. 12:

Button A: light switch.

Button B: first speed motor ON/OFF switch.

Button C: second speed switch.

Button D: third speed switch.

E: motor on light. THE MOTOR FUNCTION WARNING LIGHT (E) IS NOT PRESENT IN SOME MODELS.

CLEANING AND UPKEEP OF YOUR APPLIANCE

Before performing any operation, disconnect the product from the mains.

Warning

Always unplug the hood before cleaning it or performing other maintenance acts. Regular maintenance of

your appliance is a guarantee of proper functioning, good performance and durability.

Warning

Failure to respect the guidelines for cleaning the appliance and filters may cause fires.

Please carefully adhere to the maintenance recommendations.

Thorough servicing guarantees correct and long-lasting operation.

Any fat deposits should be removed from the appliance periodically depending on amount of use (at least every 2 months).

Avoid using abrasive or corrosive products. To clean painted appliances on the outside, use a cloth dipped in lukewarm

water and neutral detergent. To clean steel, copper or brass appliances on the outside, it is always best to use specific

products, following the instructions on the products themselves. To clean the inside of the appliance, use a cloth (or brush)

dipped in denatured ethyl alcohol.

To keep your appliance in good working order, we recommend that you use Clearit household products.

Grease filters:

These are metal filters and must be periodically cleaned, depending on extent of operation (at least every two

months). Wash the filters with neutral detergent. To remove the filters (Fig.3 or 4), adjust the retainer and push

these towards the back of the unit, turning them downwards until they are disengaged from the supports.

Charcoal filters: if using the hood in the filtering hood, the charcoal filters must be replaced periodically on the

average once every 6 months. To remove the charcoal filters, proceed as follows, remove the charcoal filter by turning

clockwise (Fig. 13). The charcoal filters must be replaced according to use: on the average once every 6 months.

Lighting :

To gain access to the incandescence bulbs, remove the grease filters as described above and remove the bulbs.

Replace with lamps of the same type.

- If the halogen lamps shown in Fig. 14 need changing, slacken the ring nut in an anticlockwise direction and

remove the bulb itself. Replace with the same type of lamp. CAUTION: Do not handle glass bulb with bare hands.

TROUBLESHOOTING

SYMPTOMS SOLUTIONS

The hood is not working... Ensure that:

• The power is not cut off.

• A speed has been selected.

The hood is not Ensure that:

operating effectively... • The selected motor speed is sufficient for the quantity of smoke and vapours

to be cleared.

• The kitchen is sufficiently ventilated to allow une for fresh air intake.

• The charcoal filter is not worn (hood operating in filtering mode).

The hood stopped working Ensure that:

• The power is not cut off.

• The double-pole cut-off device was not activated.

AFTER SALES SERVICEEN

Any maintenance on your equipment should AFTER SALES SERVICEbe undertaken by:

- either your dealer,

- or another qualified mechanic who is an authorized agent for the brand appliances.

When making an appointment, state the full reference of your equipment (model, type and serial number). This information

appears on the manufacturer’s nameplate attached to your equipment.

AVISOS DE SEGURIDAD

La distancia mínima entre la superficie de soporte de las ollas sobre la placa de cocción y la parte inferior de la campana

debe ser de 65 cm. Si las instrucciones de instalación de la placa de cocción indican una distancia mayor, la misma deberá

ser tenida en consideración.

El aire viciado no debe ser absorbido por un tubo o conducto que sirva al mismo tiempo para la absorción del humo

descargado por otros aparatos que no funcionan con energía eléctrica (instalaciones de calefacción central, radiadores,

calentadores, etc...).

La descarga del aire viciado debe hacerse según las prescripciones de las autoridades competentes. Además el aire

de descarga no tiene que ser eliminado a través de una cavidad de la pared a menos que dicha cavidad esté destinada

a tal fin.

Proveer una adecuada aireación del local si la campana se usa simultáneamente con otros aparatos que no funcionan

con energía eléctrica (estufas a gas, carbón, queroseno, etc...). En tal caso la campana extractora, al evacuar el aire,

podría crear una presión negativa en la habitación. La presión negativa del local no debe superar los 0,04 mbar, para

evitar la reabsorción de los gases de la fuente de calor. Por lo tanto es necesario proveer el local de tomas de aire que

aseguren un flujo constante de aire puro.

Controlar la placa de características técnicas situada dentro del aparato; si en la misma se encuentra el símbolo

( ) proceder de la siguiente manera: Este aparato presenta características de construcción tales que lo incluyen

en la classe de aislamiento II y por lo tanto no debe tener la descarga a tierra.

( ) proceder de la siguiente manera: ATENCIóN: este aparato debe contar con una descarga a tierra. En la operación

de conexión eléctrica asegurarse que la toma de corriente tenga un contacto de tierra.

En la operación de conexión eléctrica verificar que los valores de tensión correspondan con los indicados en la placa

colocada en el interior del aparato. Si vuestro aparato no está provisto de cable flexible no separable y de enchufe u otro

dispositivo, que asegure la desconección omnipolar de la instalación eléctrica con una distancia de apertura de los

contactos de al menos 3mm., dicho dispositivo de desconección deberá preveerse en la instalación fija. Si su aparato

está provisto de cable de alimentación y enchufe, deberá ser dispuesto de manera que el enchufe quede accesible.

Antes de proceder a cualquier operación de limpieza o de mantenimiento es necesario desconectar el aparato.

Este aparato ha sido diseñado para utilizarlo en domicilios privados.

Los alimentos no deben cocinarse a la llama y los quemadores de gas no deben usarse bajo la campana sin un

recipiente de cocción adecuado (las llamas aspiradas hacia arriba podrían dañar el aparato).

Nota: En cocinas calentadas con un dispositivo conectado a una chimenea (por ejemplo una

estufa), debe instalarse la versión de campana reciclable. No utilice la campana sin los filtros de

cassette. Cualquier sala donde se utilice una campana de cocina al mismo tiempo que aparatos que

utilicen gas o cualquier otro combustible, deben ventilarse adecuadamente.

Atención

Desconectar el aparato antes de proceder al mantenimiento y limpieza del mismo. El mantenimiento

periódico de su aparato es una garantía de buen funcionamiento, buen rendimiento y duración.

USO

Evitar el uso de materiales o sustancias inflamables cerca del aparato.

En el caso de freír tener suma atención al peligro de incendio que constituyen el aceite y las grasas. Particularmente

peligroso por su inflamabilidad es el aceite ya usado. No usar parrillas eléctricas descubiertas.

Para evitar un posible riesgo de incendio, atenerse a las instrucciones indicadas respecto a la limpieza de los filtros

antigrasa y a la eliminación de eventuales depósitos de grasa sobre el aparato.
