3 Function
System information
This device is a product of the KNX system and complies with the KNX directives. Detailed
technical knowledge obtained in KNX training courses is a prerequisite to proper
understanding.
The function of this device depends upon the software. Detailed information on loadable
software and attainable functionality as well as the software itself can be obtained from the
manufacturer´s product database. Planning, installation and commissioning of the device are
carried out with the aid of KNX-certified software. The latest versions of product database and
the technical descriptions are available on our website.
Intended use
- Attaching JUNG Smart Control to KNX installations
- Installation indoors in flush-mounted appliance box according to DIN 49073
4 Information for electrically skilled persons
DANGER!
Electrical shock on contact with live parts in the installation environment.
Electrical shocks can be fatal.
Before working on the device, disconnect the power supply and cover up live
parts in the working environment.
4.1 Fitting and electrical connection

When the pushbutton expansion module is used: Use 3-gang supporting frame
Supporting frame and frame for Smart Control are installed. Power supply and – when
applicable – connecting cable are connected to the loudspeaker module.
Pushbutton expansion module is installed in the bottom opening. Guide the connecting cable
between supporting frame and intermediate web.
o Connect bus cable with connecting terminal to connection (3).
o Guide the loudspeaker cable through the groove (1) of the communication module
provided.

o Snap communication module onto the back of the Smart Control in the correct position.
o When installing with pushbutton expansion module: Insert connecting cable into connection
(4) of the communication module in the correct position.
o Push the Smart Control with the communication module carefully into the supporting frame
and lock into place. Do not squeeze connecting cables.
4.2 Commissioning
Loading the physical address and application software
Smart Control is installed and connected to KNX module .
The power supply and bus voltage are switched on.
o Press the symbol ‘ on the function page.
The "Settings" page opens.
i A keypad for entering a password appears depending on programming.
o Select the "programming mode" entry.
The device displays the programming mode.
o Assign physical address.
o Load the application software.
