Thank you for purchasing the new Hair Clipper SY-HCT1X. In order to benefit fully from this product please read

the following instructions carefully. Store the instructions manual in a safe place for future reference.

Important safeguards

• Before the first use of the appliance check that the voltage indicated on the rating label corresponds to the

mains voltage in your home.

• Do not immerse the recharging stand or adaptor in water.

• Never charge the unit near water.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or

instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Do not leave the appliance switched on when not in use.

• Do not use other attachments than those supplied.

• Do not pull, twist, or wrap the power cord around the appliance.

• Never insert any objects into the openings of the appliance.

• Before use, make sure that blades are adjusted properly.

• Do not place the appliance while it is operating on any surface, it may cause injury or damage.

• Do not use the appliance with a damaged comb, or with teeth missing from the blades as injury may occur.

NOTE: KEEP THE BLADES OILED

• Do not use the appliance when the skin is infected.

• Do not use the appliance on animals.

• The manufacturer reserves the right to introduce minor changes into the product design without prior

notice, unless such changes influence significantly the product safety, performance, and functions.

Once the unit is completely charged, remove the adaptor from the base or from the clipper.

Caution:

- Clean the housing using only a cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild soap solution.

- When using, do not pull or hold on the cord, this may cause damage to the user.

- Never touch the moving parts as this may result in severe injuries.

How to use

The SY-HCT1X can be used cordlessly and while it is being charged.

Connect the adaptor to one end of the clipper and the other end to the wall outlet to charge the unit without the

base. The unit can also be charged using the charging stand. Connect one end of the adaptor to the charging

base and the other end to the wall outlet. Then place the unit on the charging base and the unit will charge. For a

complete charge it takes about 1.5 hours. When the unit is fully charged, it can be used continuously for more

than 45 minutes. The clipper has a LED digital display indicating the user the battery level while using and the

charge level while charging.

• Check the clipper, making sure that there is no oil between the cutting blade teeth. Turn the unit on to

be done before each use.

• In the case of cutting someone else’s hair, seat the person so the head is approximately at the eye level.

This allows ease of visibility while cutting and a better control of the clipper.

• Place a towel around the neck and shoulders of the person getting the haircut.

• Before cutting always comb the hair so it is tangle free.

Reminders

• Cut the hair in an even and slow manner. Use short strokes only and work gradually over the entire head.

• Always take off a little hair at a time; you can always trim off additional hair later.

How to use the comb attachment

First choose a desired comb attachment and then slide the comb attachment down over the main blade as

shown in the picture below. You may then adjust the hair cutting level by turning the dial clockwise or

anticlockwise.

To remove the comb attachment, gently push the comb upwards and slide it out as shown in the picture below

as well.

How to use and care the blade

1. Hold the handle of the hair clipper and push the upper part outwards and away from the blade. (Please

see picture)

2. Using the brush, clean the blade in order to remove excess hair which may be caught between the

blades. Lubricate the space between the fixed blade and the moving blade with 2 or 3 drops of oil after

every few uses.

After using

Clean the unit after every use and keep the switch turned off to maintain optimal performance.
