Setting the Tool
Operating the Tool
5
When cutting the edge, the workpiece
should be on the left side of the bit in
the feeding direction.
NOTE:
In operation, if the tool is moved too
fast, it may case a poor quality of cut, or
damage the bit or the motor. If the tool
is moved too slowly, it may burn and
mar the cut.
Proper feeding speed depends on the bit
size, bit species, the kinds of workpiece
and the cutting depth. It is recommended
that have a trial cut on the waste wood
to understand the suitable feeding speed
and cutting result.
When using the extention rod assembly,
straight guide assembly or anti-dust
fence, make sure to install it on the right
side in the feeding direction. This will
help the tool keep ush with the edge of
the workpiece.

REPLACING CARBON BRUSHES (FIG. 17)
Remove and check the carbon brushes
regularly. Replace both carbon brushes
when either has less than limit mark length
of carbon remaining, or if the spring or
wire is damaged or burned. To inspect or
replace brushes, rst unplug the tool. Then
remove the black carbon brush cap (1)
on the side of the motor. Remove the cap
cautiously, because it is spring-loaded.
Then pull out the brush and replace.
Replace for the other side. To reassemble
reverse the procedure. The ears on the
metal end of the assembly go in the same
slots the carbon part ts into. Tighten the
cap snugly, but do not overtighten.
NOTE: To reinstall the same brushes, rst
make sure the brushes go back in the way
they came out. This will avoid a break-in
period that reduces motor performance and
increases wear.
OTHERS
When the power cord is damaged,
replace it immediately.
Often check whether the screws are
tightened. If not, tighten the screws
immediately to avoid possible hazard.
If there is any unusual situation
happened, please contact with the
service center.
