1. Plug the GKBSR201 USB Type A connector to any available USB port on your PC.
2. Your PC will detect GKBSR201 and will automatically begin installing the device driver.
3. Once driver installation is complete, a pop-up message will appear to notify you that your
device is now ready to use.
Using your Smart Card:
1. Insert a CAC or smart card into the CAC/Smart Card Slot
2. CAC/Smart Card Reading Status LED will flash GREEN to notify you that your card is
being read. If you receive an AMBER flash, your card was not inserted all the way or the
Read Function failed.
3. Your computer will detect the card and will automatically begin installing the driver.
Important: In order to protect
your CAC/smart card, please
remove card from CAC/smart
card reader slot and keep in a
safe place after finishing using
GKBSR201.
Installation
NOTE: If you do not have the appropriate CAC
middleware installed, an error message will
display “Device driver software was not
successfully installed”. To use your CAC/smart
card, please download the appropriate CAC
middleware after the installation process.
