This stand is used
only for brief stops. Since it is
automatically retractible,

long stops it is advis-
able to always use the centre stand which guaran-

Cleaning the windshield
Any type of soap, cleansing agent, polish
or
po-
lishing wax normally used to clean plastic
or
glass
materials
can be utilized.

However, the following precautions should be ta-
ken:
• Never wash or clean the windshield when
the external temperature is very high or after
exposure to the sun.
• Under no circumstances, solvents, Iyes,
or
si-
milar products should be used.
•
Do
not use liquids containing abrasive mate-
rials, pumice powder, emery paper, scrapers,
or
suchlike.
•
Before polishing ensure all dust and impurities
are removed by washing.
• Light scratches can be smoothed out with light
polish.
•
Fresh paint
or
sealing compounds, when still
wet, can easily be removed by lightly rubbing off
with
isopropylic alcohol, soluble mineral oil, butyl,
or
cellosolve. (Never use methylic alcohol).
•
Use a soft sponge
or
cloth, chamois leather
or
cottonwool, rubbing lightly.
•
Never use paper towels, synthetic fiber clothes
which may scratch the windshield surface.
Vigorous rubbing
or
solvents will not remove deep
scratches
or
nicks.
