Prepare the wire
Strip exposed wires 0.75 cm (5/16 in)
exposing the bare wire.
NOTE: If the wire has an outer jacket,
remove 1.25 cm (1/2 in) of it, exposing
the positive and negative wires.

Loosen the cap screw
Loosen the single screw on the
connector with a #1 Phillips screwdriver,
then remove the cap.
NOTE: This procedure applies to both the
plug and jack connectors.

Remove the cap
Remove the cap and place it in a safe
location o to the side.
NOTE: The cap design is universal for
both the plug and jack connectors.

Insert the wire
Spread the stripped wires, helping them
hold a “V” shape. Insert the wires
through the guide holes located above
the grommet.
NOTE: Spreading the wire to hold a “V
shape will keep the wire from trying to
go back to its original form, thus pushing
itself back out of the guide holes.

Reinstall the cap
Firmly, but carefully, hold the wire in
place, then reinstall the cap and tighten
the single screw.
NOTE: Before reinstalling the cap, make
sure the wire polarity is correct based on
the application.
