CAUTION
Turn off hot and cold water
supplies before begining.
• Seat SEAL (1) into under side of FAUCET BASE (2).
• Feed FAUCET SUPPLIES (3) and MOUNTING SHANK (4)
through hole in mounting surface.
• From below, install SUPPORT PLATE (7) GASKET (5) and
MOUNTING NUT (6) onto SHANK (4). Secure Faucet with
MOUNTING NUT (6). Before nal tightening, adjust Faucet
so that it is centered. Tighten MOUNTING NUT (6) to
complete mounting.
Note: For thick deck installations, the SUPPORT PLATE (7)
can be omitted.

• Connect FLEXIBLE SUPPLIES (1, 2) directly to wall supplies.
Connection on tting supplies are 3/8" compression.
Connect right SUPPLY (2) to Hot (Marked with a Red Band)
and left supply to COLD (1) wall supply.
• Faucet supplies are 20" long from faucet base.
Note: If additional supply length is required, installer must
purchase additional parts separately.
Important: If SUPPLY HOSES (1, 2) are to long, loop as
illustrated to avoid kinking.
• Connect 1-1/4" O.D. tail piece on POP-UP DRAIN to
waste outlet.

DRAIN ASSEMBLY (6542.140/.170)
• Apply a bead of PUTTY around underside of DRAIN FLANGE (1)
ange. Insert DRAIN PLUG (2) into SINK drain hole.
• Hold DRAIN PLUG (2) to prevent turning and assemble
GASKET (3), WASHER (4) and LOCKNUT (5) from underneath
sink.
• Apply sealant to threaded end of TAILPIECE (6) and thread into
lower end of DRAIN PLUG. Connect other end to trap.

• With HANDLE (1) in OFF position, turn on WATER
SUPPLIES (2) and check all connections for leaks.
• Remove AERATOR (3).
• Operate HANDLE (1) to ush water lines thoroughly.
• Replace AERATOR (3).

• To remove or replace cartridge:
– Turn valve to OFF position.
– Pull out PLUG BUTTON (1) and remove HANDLE SCREW (2).
– Pull off HANDLE ASSEMBLY (3).
– Unthread CARTRIDGE NUT (5) using a 7/8" socket (deep socket)
and remove.
– Pull out CARTRIDGE (6).
– Inspect CARTRIDGE (6) and O-RINGS (7) for debris and
clean if necessary.
– Clean MANIFOLD (8) and rinse clean.
– Reinstall CARTRIDGE (6) and O-RINGS (7) onto
MANIFOLD (8).
– Reinstall CARTRIDGE NUT (5) and CAP (4) (orientation of the
cap is very important).
– When reinstalling the HANDLE (3) push the lower gear back
(as shown in the gure) then install HANDLE (3) in pushed down
position (make sure the seal alligns with the body).
– Push SEAL (4) down, ensuring that it is completely pushed into
the spout body.
– Reinstall HANDLE SCREW (2) and PLUG BUTTON (1).
SERVICE
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
DO: SIMPLY RINSE THE PRODUCT CLEAN WITH CLEAR WATER. DRY WITH A SOFT COTTON FLANNEL CLOTH.
DO NOT: DO NOT CLEAN THE PRODUCT WITH SOAPS, ACID, POLISH, ABRASIVES, HARSH CLEANERS, OR A
CLOTH WITH A COARSE SURFACE.
