OPERATING MANUAL
Preface The handling of the machine and its intended application possibilities are explained in this
operating manual.
This operating manual contains important information on how to operate the machine
safely, properly and economically. Compliance to the information in this operating manual
contributes to the avoidance of hazards, repair costs and downtimes, as well as increases
the reliability and service life of the machine.
Supplements or modifications to this operating manual due to existing national regulations
for accident prevention and for environmental protection are possible without prior notice.
This operating manual must always be available at the location of use.
All persons who perform work with this machine must read this operating manual
thoroughly and follow the instructions contained in it. This applies to the following work,
among other things:
Work including setting up the machine, troubleshooting during execution of work,
removing waste as a result of drilling work, machine maintenance, removal of work
material.
Maintenance (service, inspection, repair etc.)
In addition to the specifications and instructions in this operating manual and the valid
legal regulations for accident prevention in the country of use and place of use, recognised
work and safety regulations must also be complied with.
Required core drill motor A LISSMAC core drill motor must be installed in the core drill stand so that the core drill
stand can be operated. The core drill motors can be purchased from the manufacturer.
Changes and reservations We attempt for this operating manual to be correct and up-to-date. To maintain our
technological lead, it can be necessary to change the product without advance notice and
to perform their operation. We accept no liability for malfunctions, breakdowns and

DESCRIPTION OF PERFORMANCE
The CDR 162 / CDR 342 / CDR 402 are attractive for daily use on the construction site as lightweight,
functional and compact core drill stands. The CDR series provides universal operating options from
the left, right, or back of the drill stand. The feed axes are conveniently accessible from any position
using the hand crank.
Simple assembly and efficient exchange of the core drill motors via the UNIVERSAL quick
clamping collar system.
The UNIVERSAL-mounting plate makes it easy to mount any drill motor precisely
Ergonomic and effortless core drilling thanks to a hand crank which can be operated from
either side
The support feed is precisely controllable with 1:1 direct ratio or an additional 1:2 fine control
ratio.
Precise support guidance using V-sliding blocks and the aluminium profile column
The bearing guide is precise and sturdy, and can be easily adjusted
The steel gear rack is safely built into the aluminum column
The aluminium profile column can be pivoted back by up to 45° for drilling at an angle
The integrated handle on the aluminium profile column offers multi-purpose handling and drill
stand transport
Precise alignment of the core drill stand by four levelling screws as well as a vertical and
horizontal water level integrated in the “support”
The support can be locked in any position with a locking screw, for stepless hight adjustment

1.1. Basics of intended use
1.1.1 The warranty obligation of the manufacturer and supplier is voided for improper or non-intended
use. Any change to the machine which is not carried out by the manufacturer is prohibited.
Changes, removal or addition of parts only with the written approval of the manufacturer.
1.1.2 The machine is constructed according to the state of the art and recognised technical safety rules.
However, danger to life and limb of the user or third parties, and/or damage to the machine or other
property may still arise from its use.
1.1.3 Only operate the machine in technically faultless condition and for intended use, aware of safety
and danger complying with the operating manual. You should particularly handle malfunctions
which can compromise safety immediately, or have them addressed by experts.
1.1.4 The LISSMAC Core drill stand is used as a guiding and fastening aid for a LISSMAC Core Drill
Motor. A LISSMAC Core Drill Motor with a diamond core bit approved for it must be used for
drilling. The operating manual of the core drill motor must be observed! The core drill stand is
exclusively intended for commercial use.
Intended use also includes compliance with the operating manual and observance of inspection and
maintenance manual.
1.1.5 Foreseeable misuse / non-intended use:
Drilling of wood, plastic or metal and other materials
Incorrect or insufficient fastening of the core drill stand
Drilling in walls and ceilings without additional support
Any constructional changes, which change the safety or the type of design.
1.2. Organisational measures
1.2.1 The operating manual must be kept permanently and easily accessible at the location of the core
drill stand.
1.2.2 All additions to the operating manual, all generally valid legal and otherwise binding regulations for
accident prevention and environmental protection are to be followed and instructed!
Such obligations may also apply, for example, to the handling of hazardous materials or the wearing
of personal protective gear or traffic regulations.
1.2.3 Personnel assigned to activities on the machine must have read the operating manual (particularly
the Safety Instructions chapter) before starting work. In the middle of work it is too late. This
applies especially for personnel only infrequently working with the core drill stand.
1.2.4 At least occasionally, perform checks for safe and hazard awareness work by operators while
following the operating manual!
1.2.5 Use personal protection equipment if necessary or required by regulations!
1.2.6 At the presence of safety-related changes to the machine or the running behaviour, stop the
machine immediately and report the problem to the responsible post/person!
1.2.7 No changes, removal or addition of parts without the written approval of the manufacturer! The
instructions of the tool maker must be followed.

1.2.8 Only use original replacement parts from the manufacturer!
1.2.9 Keep intervals for service work which are specified or given in the operating manual! Workshop
equipment suitable for the work is absolutely necessary for performing maintenance actions.
1.3. Personnel choice and personnel qualification; basic responsibilities
1.3.1 Only qualified personnel 18 years of age or older may operate the machine independently. All
personnel must be trained in the operation and be explicitly authorized by the company to operate
the machine.
1.3.2 Establish responsibilities of the personnel for operating, changeover, servicing, and repairing the
machine!
1.3.3 Make sure that only authorized personnel works at the machine.
1.3.4 The operator must wear personal safety equipment according to the safety regulations, such as
safety shoes, safety gloves and safety glasses.
1.3.5 Remaining in the working area unnecessarily is prohibited! Direct unauthorised personnel, who are
not working on the machine, away from the work area. Block off the working area, if necessary
1.3.6 During all movements, operating personnel must ensure that they and other people are not
endangered. All obstacles which may hinder the operation or implementation of the machine at the
location of use must be moved out of the way. Drilling cores must absolutely be secured from falling
down.
1.3.7 Any personnel training, learning, being instructed, or currently involved in general education may
only work under the continual supervision of an experienced person!
1.4. Safety instructions for operation phases
1.4.1. Transport, assembly and installation
1.4.1.1 Transport, assembly and installation may only be done when power is disconnected. The core drill
stand must be secured against falling.
1.4.1.2 Transport must only be made with the core drill motor removed.
1.4.1.3 Transport may only be done, as long as all machine parts are tightened on the machine and
individual parts cannot fall.

1.4.2. Commissioning
1.4.2.1 An approved LISSMAC core drill motor must be installed for commissioning.
1.4.2.2 Ensure that the foundation where the drilling is done meets the load carrying capacity. All
obstacles must be cleared away from the drilling area and make sure there is sufficient lighting. It
must be ensured that no electrical lines or other lines are located in the drilling area.
1.4.2.3 At every visual inspection the entire machine must be checked for damage and defects. Special
control of the water and electronic lines.
1.4.2.4 The core drill stand must be secured to the floor. Here the type of fastening must be observed.
1.4.3. Operation
1.4.3.1 Refrain from working in any manner that is questionable in regard to safety!
1.4.3.2 Take measures to ensure that the core drill stand is operated only in a safe, functional condition!
1.4.3.3 When drilling overhead (use water retaining ring) only hydraulic motors may be used, since there
is an increased risk of the motors coming into contact with water.
1.4.3.4 For wall or ceiling holes the core drill stand must never be secured only by drop-in anchors or
vacuum fastening, but always additionally with suitable lifting gear or a quick clamp column, for
example. The core drill stand must only be used with approved and properly mounted fastening
systems!
1.4.3.5 The safety of this core drill stand is only guaranteed if the core drilling motors and diamond core
bits are used which are approved for the respective core drill stand. The maximum diamond core
bit diameter must be observed.
1.4.3.6 At least once per shift check the core drill stand for externally recognisable damage and
deficiencies! Any changes which occur (including operating behaviour) must be reported
immediately to the responsible post/person! If necessary, immediately stop the machine and
secure it against restart!
1.4.3.7 Immediately stop and secure the core drill stand in case of malfunctions! Immediately correct
malfunctions! Electrical work may only be carried out by qualified electricians.
1.4.3.8 Only use suitable and tested diamond tools in combination with the LISSMAC Core Drill Motor.
1.4.3.9 For protection before acceleration, move the depth setting slowly into the solid floor. Avoid any
contact with the running tool.
1.4.3.10 The bore hole must be secured according to the respective regulations.

1.4.4. Special work while using the machine
1.4.4.1 Follow all setup, maintenance, and inspection activities and schedules prescribed by the operating
manual, including all information about the replacement of parts / assemblies! These activities
may only be carried out by technical personnel.
1.4.4.2 Inform operating personnel before beginning special and maintenance work! Name a supervisor!
1.4.4.4 Before cleaning all openings in which no cleaning agent should penetrate due to safety and/or
functional reasons must be covered and glued. Electric motors, switches and plugs are especially
at risk. After cleaning, remove the covers/tape completely!
1.4.4.6 During service and repair work, always tighten loose bolt joints!
1.4.5. Moving the core drill stand
1.4.5.1 Moving the core drill stand must only be done with no power and when the tool is stopped.
1.4.5.2 When leaving the operating position, the core drill motor must be taken out of operation.
There is a danger of injury by a rotating tool.
1.4.6. Special work while using the machine
1.4.6.1 Follow all setup, maintenance, and inspection activities and schedules prescribed by the operating
manual, including all information about the replacement of parts / assemblies! These activities
may only be carried out by technical personnel.
1.4.6.2 Inform operating personnel before beginning special and maintenance work! Name a supervisor!
1.4.6.4 Before cleaning all openings in which no cleaning agent should penetrate due to safety and/or
functional reasons must be covered and glued. Electric motors, switches and plugs are especially
at risk. After cleaning, remove the covers/tape completely!
1.4.6.6 During service and repair work, always tighten loose bolt joints!
1.4.6.7 If dismantling is required for fitting, servicing and repair, the safety fittings must be remounted
and checked immediately following the service and repair work!
1.4.6.8 No rotating tools which have a maximum rotation speed smaller than the nominal speed of the
machine can be used.

1.5.
Packaging and Storage
To ensure sufficient protection during shipping and transport, the machine and its components are
carefully packaged. When receiving the machine, the machine should be checked for damage. The
packaging of the device consists of materials which can be recycled. Put these by type into the
relevant recycling containers, so that they can be recycled properly.
In the case of damage, the machine must not be put into operation. Even damaged cable and plugs
represent a safety risk and must not be used. In this case, please contact the manufacturer.
If the machine is not immediately put into operation after unpacking, it must be protected from
moisture and dirt.
1.6.
Environmental protection
Packaging material, cleaning agents, used or residual operating materials, as well as removed
wear parts, such as drive belts or motor oils must be taken to recycling corresponding to the valid
regulations for environmental protection at the place of use.
1.7.
Disposal
If the expiry date of the device has been reached, in particular if functional errors happen, make
the used machine unusable.
Dispose of the device according to the valid regulations for environmental protection of your
country. Electrical waste may not be disposed of in household waste. Take the used device to a
central rubbish collection centre.

COMMISSIONING - ASSEMBLY AND SETTINGS
3.1.
Securing the core drill stand
Danger! For wall or ceiling holes the core drill stand must never be secured only by drop-in anchors or vacuum
fastening, but always additionally with suitable lifting gear or a quick clamp column, for example.
3.1.1.
Securing using drop-in anchors
Danger! Securing using drop-in anchors is only allowed in concrete. The concrete must have reached its full
minimum compression strength, only then may the drop-in anchors be driven in.
Caution! Proper condition of the threaded spindle or the threaded nut must be regularly checked (no bending,
adjustment is not allowed, well running threads, no cracks or other damage). In case of any faults these
must be replaced.
Note Select fastening drop-in anchors that are suitable and specifically for the respective sub-surface (refer to
drop-in anchor manufacturer). Follow the mounting instructions of the drop-in anchor manufacturer!
Determine the distance between the centre point of the desired hole and the centre opening drill
base. Make hole for drop-in anchor (Pos. 5) with a drill.
Observe hole depth!
Insert drop-in anchor (Pos. 5) completely in the hole and wedge in with setting tool.
Screw in the quick clamping spindle (Pos. 2)
Levelling screws (Pos. 4) are turned upward. Set core drill stand (Pos. 1) on the quick clamping
spindle (Pos. 2)
Fasten core drill stand (Pos. 1) using the screwed connection (Pos. 3). Align the core drill stand
using the levelling screws (Pos. 4) and a level. Check for secure hold!

3.1.2.
Securing using vacuum set
Danger! For wall or ceiling holes the core drill stand must never be secured only by drop-in anchors or vacuum
fastening, but always additionally with suitable lifting gear or a quick clamp column, or by jacking, for
example.
The floor must be made so that the full vacuum of 0.9 bar of the equipment can be applied and held. The
specified vacuum must be maintained!
Insert the vacuum sealing ring (Pos. 3) in the slot on the bottom of the core drill stand base.
Note The vacuum sealing ring (Pos. 3) on the bottom of the vacuum plate must be inspected regularly for wear.
Place the vacuum cover (Pos. 1) on the opening in the core drill stand base and fasten with the core drill
stand base.
Stick hose coupling on the connecting piece (Pos. 2) of the vacuum cover (Pos.1).
Place core drill stand in the necessary position and turn on the vacuum pump.
The vacuum pump must continue to run during the entire work time and must be placed so that the
manometer can be monitored.

3.2.
Assembly of the core drill motor
Danger! The core drill motor must be disconnected from the power source before installation, cleaning and
servicing!

Secure support via locking mechanism (Pos. 2) and loosen the tensioning screw (Pos. 3)
Guide the clamp insert of the manual drill in the collar of the support (Pos. 1) and tighten the
tensioning screw (Pos. 3)
CDR 342 with UNIVERSAL holder
Secure support via locking (Pos. 5)
Release locking mechanism of the support (Pos. 6) and then remove UNIVERSAL holder (Pos. 4)
upwards out of the core drill stand.
UNIVERSAL holder (Pos. 4) and connect the core drill motor with the included bolts.
Mount the UNIVERSAL holder and the core drill motor in the core drill stand and secure using
the locking mechanism from the support (Pos. 6).
Danger! Inspection!
The core drill motor and the core drill stand must be connected tightly to each other!
