Pole Placement:
1. To prevent squirrels from jumping onto your feeder,
try and locate it at least 12’ from any wall, post, or
tree. Also have the feeder hang from at least 4 ft
from the ground. (Fig. 1)
Assembling the Pole:
1. Dig a hole approximately 12” deep. Place sleeve in
hole and backfill. If you choose to drive the pole into
the ground, use extra care and cusion the pole with a
wooden block.
2. Assemble the four sections of poles and place into
groud sleeve (Fig. 2).
3. If needed, select and assemble either the extension
arm or flat bottom adapter. Use the extension arm
for hanging-only bird feeders. These are feeders that
cannot be placed directly on the pole. When using
the extension arm, be sure the arm is completely
separated on the tip of the pole. Use the flat bottom
wood feeder adapter for the pole. Be sure to center
the adapter on the feeder for proper balance on the
pole.
