Thank you for your purchase of the ARC-MIC-PRE. The ARC-MIC-PRE is designed to convert a
line level input to a mic level input for connecting dynamic or condenser microphones. It is
extremely easy to setup, especially for ARC series consoles.
SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1 – Connect the Mic 1 Out as well as the Mic 2 Out (optional) to your console inputs.
The mic outputs are RJ45 connections, and can directly plug in to the balanced ARC series
console RJ45 inputs, using an ethernet cable.
STEP 2 – Connect your Microphones to the Mic 1 IN and Mic 2 IN (optional) to the front of
the ARC-MIC-PRE.
STEP 3 – Connect the power supply to the DC Power input on your ARC-MIC-PRE. This is a
specific supply, and no other power supply should be used.
STEP 4 (OPTIONAL) – If you are using condenser microphones, you will need to purchase the
ARC-48V phantom power supply. This supply will connect to the 48V Power on the rear of the
ARC-MIC-PRE.
IMPORTANT NOTE – Be sure to unplug the ARC-48V supply whenever you want to plug or
unplug the condenser microphone from the ARC-MIC-PRE.
IMPORTANT NOTE – Use of an incorrect power supply will often result in damaging the ARC-
MIC-PRE, and anything it is connected to.
