1. Volume Control: Loudspeaker Volume.
2. Treble Control: High Frequency, Adjust it to the desired level. In the centre position
the sound should be neutral.
3. Bass Control: Bass Frequency, Adjust it to the desired level. In the centre position
the sound should be neutral.
4. Power On/Off: When the unit is switched ON, the green led should illuminate.
5. Clipping Leds: Each channel has a clipping led, turn down the volume if these leds
are flashing. Allowing the Clipping leds to be on all the time may cause the unit to
overheat.
6. RCA Phono Inputs: Here you can connect your sound source. These inputs have to
be fed with a input signal at line level (Cd, Dvd, Tuner, Mixing table, Phone). The
white socket will send your music to the amplified main unit.
7. Stereo Jack 3.5 mm input: This line level stereo input for connecting a computer,
portable sources (Cd, Mp3 players, Phones).
8. Right and Left Balanced line inputs: These three pin inputs can be used to feed the
line level signals from devices with balanced outputs (Shield, hot, cold). Balanced
wiring is recommended when the input lines are long or placed near other electrical
cabling.
9. Right Speaker Output: This Connector plug should be used to connect the right
passive loudspeaker to the amplifier
10. Mode Button: This Button switches from full Stereo to Parallel (mono). When
switched to the mono mode, you should only use the white socket from a mono
source. From this input left and right speakers will be used.
11. Mains Socket: This socket contains a 1 A slow blow fuse. Use a screw driver to flip
out the fuse compartment and replace the fuse.
12. Heat Sink: When using the Active 40 at full power and for a long time, this heat sink
might become very hot, do not touch! Take care when placing it to close to other
items sensitive to heat.
