SAFETY PRECAUTIONS, MAINTENANCE AND INSTRUCTIONS
Dear Customer,
Thank you for your purchase of the PDP Color TV. To ensure your personal safety and
prolong the life of your product, please read all through all the safety and operating
instructions and adhere to the instructions strictly. Our company will not be held liable for
any accidents occurred by non-adherence to the safety precautions and instructions in the
manual.
Safety Precautions
WARNING
.Please unplug the power cord from the AC outlet and contact service personnel to
repair under the following conditions, or it may result in fire or electric shock
1. Any obvious abnormality of the product such as smoke, abnormal odor or sound
emitting from the product, please contact the service personnel. To avoid any hazards
do not attempt to repair it.
2. Liquid being spilled or metallic objects penetrated into the product.
3. No image or sound.
4. Cracked cabinet cover due to fall or collision.
5. The product cannot operate even though all the operating instructions are followed.
Warning : This TV should only be serviced by an authorized and properly trained
technician. Opening the cover or other attempts by the user to service this TV may
result in serious injury or death from electrical shock, and may increase the risk of
fire.
Protect the power cord and plug to reduce risks of fire hazard or electric shock
1. Do not place heavy foreign objects on the power cord.
2. Affix the power cord with nails.
3. Attach or remove power cord with care. Do not damage, change, bend, twist, pull or
heat the power cord.
4. When the power cord is damaged or frayed, please contact the service personnel.
5. If the metal plug cannot be fully inserted into the receptacle or the receptacle is too
large for the plug, please replace the power receptacle to avoid fire hazards.
Precautions on the environment of PDP TV
1. Do not place liquid container and small metal things such as vase, flowerpot, glass,
cosmetic or medical bottle near the product. Should they drop into the product, it may
result in fire or electric shock.
2. Do not place candle, kerosene light near the product, or else it may cause fire hazard.
3. Do not place the product on an unstable stand or table. The product may fall, causing
serious injury to a child or adult, and serious damage to the product.
4. Do not use the TV set near water- for example, near a window, bathroom, and the like,
or else it may result in fire or electric shock.
Things to comply when using PDP TV
1. Do not try to open the cabinet cover, service or change the product. For the product is
high in voltage, it may cause fire hazard or electric shock. Should replacement parts be

required, please contact the local service agent.
2. Be sure to use the accessories sold with the product or recommended by the
manufacturer. If not, it may result in hazards.
3. Never push objects of any kind (mental, tinder, etc.) into the product through the slots,
or it may result in fire or electric shock.
4. When many electric appliances are sharing one electric board, the total power of all
the electric appliances cannot surpass the rated power of the electrical plug and power
cord or it may result in fire hazards.
5. Do not touch the power plug when thundering.
6. The TV set should be operated only with the type of power source indicated on the TV
set, or it could cause fire or electric shock.
7. Please cut off the power at any time when the electric current is unstable.
8. Power cord, plug and receptacle with dust, impurity and dirt in the state of moisture
may cause fire. Please clean regularly.
Precaution and instruction for installing the outdoor antenna
1. The outdoor antenna should be installed firmly and provided with some insulation
against thundering.
2. An outdoor antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines
or circuits to reduce risks of fire or electric shock.
ATTENTION
Precautions on the environment of PDP TV
1. The apparatus shall be connected to MAINS socket outlet with a protective earth
connection.
2. Do not put the product in a place subjected to moisture, smoke or dust.
3. Do put the product in a place with good ventilation, away from direct or strong light, high
temperature and moisture. The temperature for placing the product is -20~50, and
the temperature for using the TV set is 0~40. If not, it may cause permanent
damage to the TV set.
4. Do not block the slots or openings. If internal temperature builds up, it may result in fire.
Keep children or others who are sensitive to the temperature away from the heat slots.
5. Do not place the TV set by side or by opposite Do not put the TV set in the narrow place
such as closet, book cabinet and so on.
6. Do not place the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or other similar surface.
7. Do not tilt the TV set. It may fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious
damage to the TV set.
Precautions and instruction on power cord of PDP TV
1 Make sure wires are grounded to reduce the hazards. Do not use AC electrical power with
grounding wire that is unstable.
2.The power cord should not be put close to a heat source, or the cover of the power cord
will melt and may cause the fire.
3.Do not touch the metal part of the plug when attaching to or detaching from the receptacle,
hold the plastic part of the plug, not the power cord to remove, or else it may break and
cause danger.
4.Do not touch the plug when your hand is wet, or it may result in electric shock.
Make sure that the power cord is pulled out from the AC power before service.
Make sure that all the connection wires have been detached from the TV set before

moving it.
If the TV set is not going to be used for a long period of time, pull out power cord
from AC electrical net to avoid hazard. Do not turn on the TV set and pull out the plug
during lightning storm.
Before turning on the TV set which is put in a place below 0°C for a long period of
time, do check if there is water in the TV set. If so, dry it before turning on it.
Otherwise, it will damage the TV set.; Before turning on the TV set which is removed
from a cool place to a warm place ,do let it rest for one or two hours on account of
acclimatization
. Do operate the TV set according to the manual. Improper adjustment or operations
may damage the TV set. For further advice, please contact the local service agent.
When the PDP TV reaches the end of its useful life and needs to be disposed,
please contact the qualified service technician to deal with it. Improper disposal
could result in panel implosion and cause hazards.
The MAINS plug or an appliance coupler of the apparatus is used as the
disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Don’t LEAVE a STATIC image on the screen for a long period of time, especially when
nobody watches it.
Caution: Using video games or any external accessory with fixed images for over 10
minutes can cause them to be permanently imprinted on the SCREEN. ALSO, some
network/program logos, phone numbers, teletext, images in 4:3 format etc. may
cause similar damage. This damage is not covered by your warranty.
2. As there is some electric charge built up on the panel, a feeling of slight discharge will be
felt upon contact with the panel.
3. Do cut off power before cleaning the TV set. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol
cleaners. Do use damp and soft cloth or cleaners meant for the panel. Before the panel
dries, please do not turn it on. Do not use volatile things to clean the TV set, for
these things may damage the cabinet cover or panel of PDP TV.
4. Be careful when moving the TV set. Do not push with excessive force or touch the panel
with bare hands. Do not hit the cover or the panel, or it may cause mechanical damage
to the TV. Do not press on the panel or let any hard objects touch the panel to avoid
damage to the panel. Unduly extrusion will cause the permanent damage to the
panel.
5. Please use soft cloth to clean the cabinet cover of PDP TV. If it is very dirty, a tweaked
soft cloth can be used with attenuant litmusless scour to clean the TV set, then dry it with
a dry soft cloth.
6. Do not spray volatile things such as alcohol, petrol, pesticide on the panel, and do not
make cover with rubber, adhesive tape for a long time, or the paint will drop and damage
the cabinet cover.
7. Do not water, press, drop or open the remote controller. Use eligible batteries. Do not
mix new batteries with old ones in the remote controller. Do not put the battery into the
fire or decompose the battery. Please take out the battery from the remote controller if it
is not used for a long time or the battery will exhaust. Otherwise, the battery may leak
and damage the remote controller.

8. The best viewing angle and position: The center of panel is slightly lower than height of
your eyes, distance should be five or seven times further than the height of the panel.
The environmental brightness should comfortable enough to read newspapers.
9. Proper volume adjustment. Do not turn up the TV volume too loud when watching TV at
night or it will affect the neighborhood.
10. To prolong the PDP TV’s usage longevity, please do not turn it on/off too oftenTurn it on
3 minutes later as you turn it off by pressing
on the panel or unplug the power cord
from the AC outlet.
11. Working condition of the product:

Height above sea level for using the product: 0~2000m
Note: Due to ongoing upgrades all the On Screen Displays and illustrations in this manual

1. When in operation, please point your remote control directly to the infrared sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. Remove the PDP TV from the box and place it on a flat surface in a well-ventilated
location.
2. Connect the output terminal of RF cable to the corresponding TV input terminal.
3. Connect AV signal output (DVD or other equipments) to AV input terminal of the PDP TV
with AV connecter. Ensure that every AV signal cable is connected correctly to the
corresponding port.
4. Connect one side of PC, DVI terminals to the corresponding signal source terminal, and
connect the other side to the corresponding PDP TV terminal. Screw down the
thumbscrews on both sides to secure it. Affix the plug with care to avoid damage.
5. Plug the AC power cord to the AC outlet
6. Connect the other end of the power cord to the PDP TV AC input jack.
Caution:
When connect, plug directly and lightly to the interface, otherwise you will damage the
stitch.
Please refer to the back label located on the back cover of this product for the AC input
voltage range.
Do not connect the power, which is out of the range. When unplug the power cord, do not
touch the metal part.
Install the Sound Boxes
Please refer to the Installation manual of the Sound Boxes hereinafter.
Install the Pedestal (Optional)
Please refer to the Installation manual of the Pedestal, which is packed as an attachment
to install the pedestal.
Install the Wall Mount Kit (Optional)
Please refer to the Installation manual of the Wall Mount Kit , which is packed as an
attachment to install the wall mount kit
GENERAL OPERATION
To Turn the TV On
1.Separately put the AC power cord to the PDP TV AC input jack and AC power supply, the
TV will be in STANDBY status.
2. In the Standby mode, press
on the remote control or front panel to enter to the
normal work mode.
To Turn the TV Off
1. Press
on the remote control or front panel to turn the TV transitorily off.
2. Unplug the power cord from the AC outlet to turn the TV off completely.
3.AUTO off without signal
Without signal (no signal from TV station and no operation of the user) in TV mode, The
PDP TV will auto transfer into Standby mode15 minutes later
Caution:
The TV will be automatically off when the power trips.
Please do not turn on/off the TV too often!
Please unplug the power cord from the AC outlet in time when the power trips!

MENU OPERATION
Many function settings and adjustments of the PDP TV will begin from the menu
choosing. Different language mode applied on the screen menu display. Here the R/C
operation will be set as an example: Press the MENUto display the main menu; Press
V+/V- to choose; Press OK/P- to enter the correspondent menu option and
press P+/P-to choose from the options, then press OK/V+ to enter the submenu.
The menu display is divided into TVAV1AV2YPbPrPCDVI. It can be adjusted from
3 seconds to 60 seconds in the General Setting menu that how long the menu will remain on
the screen. The time can be ranged from. If not menu operation during the setting period,
the menu will be closed automatically.
The operation of the local keys on the PDP TV is similar as the R/C operation. The only
difference is that when operating on the PDP TV, theCH+/CH- will be used to choose
function option and theV+/V- to make the setting and adjustment to the chosen function
option.
FUNCTION INTRODUCTION
Using the Channel Setting Menu
1) Press
MENUand then useV+/V- to select the
Channel Setting menu in TV mode.
2) Use P+/P-to make the desired adjustment.
3) Basic Operation:
Current Channel
PressV+/V-to increase/decrease the channel number.
Channel Label
PressOKto enter the edit mode.
PressP+/P-to select the desired letter, pressV+/
V-for next operation.
Color System
Switch among PAL, NTSC, SECAM, PAL M, PAL N, N4.43,
and AUTO systems.
Sound System
Switch among B/G, I, D/K, M systems.

Add/Skip
After Auto Search, there may be some repeated programs stored. Skipping the repeated
programs can shorten the program selection.
1. PressP+/P-to search for the Program skipped.
2. Input the channel number directly to resume the Program Number skipped.
Auto Search
In the Channel Setting Menu, press P+/P-
to select Auto Search and pressOK/V+to start
Auto Searching mode.
1. During searching, the sound and color
systems are automatically adjusted and
programs are stored.
2. When search is finished, or all channels are stored, orMENUis pressed during the
search process, the search will automatically stop and go to the channel setting menu
with channel one.
Manual Search
In TV mode, select Manual Search option and press
OK/V+to enter into Manual Search . Use
V+/V-to search programs. After searching, the
TV will automatically store searched channels and
return to the menu.
Fine
When the picture and sound of a channel are not
satisfactory after Auto Search or Manual Search,
Fine function can be used to adjust the pictures and
sound.
1.In TV mode, select Fine and pressOK/V+
to enter the Fine Tuning mode.
2.PressV+/V-to increase or decrease the frequency value for fine-tuning.
Note:
During auto search, manual search, and fine tune operation, you will be asked to enter the
password if any program is locked.
Channel Table
Two kinds of program list ,Air & Cable to be chosen, 2~69 for Air list, and 1~125 for Cable
list.
Note: This function is for U.S.A users only.
Auto Scan
In TV mode, select Auto Scan to activate the scan mode. All pictures will be displayed in the
current channel. The current program will be displayed in the middle of the screen, with
twelve small pictures around the middle picture. All pictures are scanned, beginning with the
current program, from the upper-left side screen in clockwise direction. Use P+/P-
andV+/V-to select the desired channel; Use OKto exit from the Auto Scan mode
and watch only the selected channel. UseMENUto exit from the Auto Scan mode directly.

Exchange
In TV mode, select Exchange to enter the PBP
mode.
PressV+/V-to switch between the main
picture & sub-picture.
PressP+/P-or the number buttons to select
channel between the channel 1& channel 2.
If the PDP TV is in the main-channel-choosing status, pressOK to switch to the
sub-channel-choosing status; while if the PDP TV is in the sub-channel-choosing status,
pressOK to switch between the main picture and the sub picture.
Using the Picture Setting Menu
1) PressMENUand then use V+/V-to select the Picture Setting menu.
2)PressP+/P-to make the desired adjustment.
3) Basic Operation:
Full Light Watch
The TV adjusts the brightness of the PDP TV according
to the environment.
Picture Mode
Four modes to be selected: Standard, Mild, Bright, User.
Brightness
To adjust the picture’s brightness.
Contrast
To adjust the picture’s contrast.
Saturation
To adjust the picture’s saturation.
Sharpness
To adjust the picture’s definition.
Hue
To adjust the picture’s tint. (For NTSC signal only)
Color Temp
Four modes can be chosen: Warm, Normal, Cool, and
User. (User mode is valid for PC & DVI only)
Fleshtone
To adjust the human skin tones
Using the Audio Setting Menu
1) PressMENUand then useV+/V-to select the
Audio Setting menu.
2) PressP+/P-to make the desired adjustment.

Transparency
To adjust the OSD transparency
Orbiter
If the status of the orbiter function is “ON”, the picture will move toward a certain direction
circularly each minute to lengthen the life of the PDP TV’s panel. Therefore , please always
make the orbiter function “ON”.
Using the Timer Setting Menu
1) PressMENUand then use V+/V- to select
the Timer Setting menu.
2) PressP+/P-to make the desired adjustment.
3) Basic Operation:
Sleep Time
This works in a count down way. The period of time you
select will count down from the time you select, and it
will switch off automatically when time is up. This
function works in the same way with sleep button on the
remote control.
Current Time
PressOK/V+to enter the mode.
PressV+/V-to set the Minute/Hour and pressP+/P-to adjust the time value.
On Time
PressV+/V-to set the Minute/Hour and pressP+/P-to adjust the time value.
On Channel
To set the default channel when turning on the TV. Press
V+/V-to change the channel number.
Off Time
PressV+/V- to set the Minute/Hour and pressP+
/P-to adjust the time value.
Timer Mode
Set the clock time mode.
Using the Child Lock Setting Menu

1) PressMENUand then use V+/V- to select the Child Lock Setting menu.
2) PressP+/P-to make the desired adjustment.
3) Basic Operation:
In this mode, pressOK/P-to enter the password mode. Press the number button to enter
the password. The default password is 1601.
After entering “1601” for the first time, the screen displays
the menu on the right.
Press the number button on the remote control to set the
new password. When done, pressOK, and the TV will
go back to the main child lock mode.
PressP+/P-to switch between Lock Status, Lock All,
and Clear All.
In Lock Status mode, pressOK/V+to enter the
set mode. Then pressP+/P-to select the channel
and pressV+/V- to set lock/unlock.
A prompt appears when a locked channel is switched.
The password needs to be entered to watch the program.
In Lock All mode, pressOK/V+to lock all of the programs.
In Clear All mode, pressOK/V+to unlock all of
the programs.
Note: In child lock menu operation, each function cannot
be activated until the correct password is entered. If the
password is forgotten, the default password of “1601” is
still valid.
Using the PC Setting menu (for PC mode only)
1) PressMENUand then useV+/V- to select the PC Setting menu.
2) PressP+/P-to make the desired adjustment. Five modes can be adjusted: Auto
Tracking, Clock, Phase, H position, V position.

OTHER FUNCTIONS INTRODUCTION
Standby Mode
Press
on the TV panel/Remote Control, the PDP TV will store
the current setup and enter into the standby mode with a red
indicator light. To Power on the PDP TV, press the button again.
Signal Switch
PressAVon the remote control to select the signal sources orderly. They are TV, AV1, AV2,
YPbPr, PC, and DVI.
The upper-right corner of the screen will display the corresponding information.
Channel Selection
PressCH+/CH-on the panel orP+/P-on the remote control to increase/decrease
the channel number. If a channel number is in SKIP ON mode, the next channel will be
displayed orderly.
Three numbers can be input at most, if you use the number button on the remote control.
The former two-digit input number is bigger than 23, the TV would come to the
corresponding channel; If the input number is among 236 and 239, the current channel
would be replaced by 23.
In AV1, AV2, YPbPr, PC, and DVI modes, press the number to watch the corresponding TV
program.
Note: The biggest number you can input is 235 and use number buttons to input your
desired channel number. During this input operation you can change to the
corresponding channel directly with pressing OK, and pressMENUto cancel.

Volume Control
Press V+/V- to increase decrease or the volume continuously when the main menu
is not displayed on the screen. The range is 0-100.
The Volume menu will automatically be off if there is no operation about 4 seconds.
Mute
Press MUTEon the remote control to turn On/Off the MUTE mode. Alternatively, press
MUTE, change the volume level to turn the MUTE off.
The
symbol will appear bottom-left corner of the screen when the Mute function is
switched on. PressMUTEor increase the value of volume, or adjust the items of the sound
menu to exit.
The
symbol is hidden when the menu operation is entered, but the feature is still
valid. It appears again when the menu operation is exited. When there is no valid signal
input, the TV will be mute (but no mute symbol) with a blue background.
