USE OF THE APPLIANCE
Operating
The green light on means that the appliance is connected to
the mains.
Temperature adjustment is carried out by turning the
thermostat from position 1 to position 8 (Fig. 4). The
temperature corresponding to each position is indicated in
the table below.
To turn the thermostat, use a coin.
Some frost may form naturally on the bottom of the inner
liner when operating: please see indications described in
chapter Cleaning/Maintenance on page 18.
As the joint is perfectly watertight, it may not be possible to
open the door immediately after closure: wait some minutes
before opening.
Note: If the orange button is pressed when the appliance
is working, the compressor will run constantly and
everything inside the appliance will freeze (see chapter

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
The normal condensation produced during operation
concentrates on the bottom of the inner box.
For a normal cleaning operation disconnect from mains ,
take the external plug away and place it as per drawing .
Place the separator under the appliance and take the internal
plug away .
For a more accurate cleaning operation, take the objects
present away, wash the walls of the box with a wet cloth
soaked with sodium bicarbonate and let the water flow into
the drain.
On this occasion it is also better to clean condenser and grill
(see paragraph Maintenance on page 19).
Place plugs into their seats.
Defrosting and cleaning
During operation a layer of frost forms on the internal walls
and on the upper frame.
We suggest to defrost the appliance when this layer reaches
3-4 mm.
Some hours before defrosting, set the appliance on fast
freezing (see paragraph Use of the appliance on page 17).
After this period disconnect the plug from the mains .
Take packs away from the appliance, wrap them into paper
and place them in a cool room.
Take the external plug away and place it as per drawing .
Insert separator under the appliance and take the internal
plug away .
Leave the cover open.
When frost begins to melt clean the box with a sponge
soaked with a solution of sodium bicarbonate.
Do not use any pointed objects or electrical heater to speed
up defrosting.
Do not use any abrasive products, any detergents or soaps.
Dry the box.
On this occasion it is also better to clean the condenser and
grill (see paragraph Maintenance on page 19).
Place the plugs back into their seats.

SUGGESTIONS ABOUT ENERGY SAVING
Avoid installing the appliance in direct sunlight,
near radiators or hot plates, as this increases
energy consumption.
Do not occlude the ventilation grill or air
emission openings.
Once a year, take the dust away from the back
of the appliance.
Adjust the right temperature by means of the
thermostat.
Do not introduce warm food into the appliance
Limit opening of the cover.
A thicker layer of frost (more than 4 mm)
increases energy consumption.
Maintenance
Disconnect the plug
Keep frost away from the upper frame.
Clean Internal while defrosting
Clean external with a wet and soft cloth
Clean the motor compartment-ventilation grill and the
condenser with a vacuum cleaner or soft brush: do not
damage or disconnect external cables.
During holidays, if period is short, it is better to leave
appliance operating.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
If the appliance does not operate correctly or
does not operate at all, before calling the
Technical Service, check the following:
1. If internal temperature is not cold enough.
Does food hinder the correct closing of the
door?
Is the appliance placed near a heat source?
Is the thermostat on the correct position?
Are the ventilation grill and condenser clean?
2. The inner temperature is too cold:
Is the thermostat on the correct position?
Has the orange switch of fast freezing been
switched on by mistake?
3. The appliance is too noisy.
Is the appliance properly leveled?
Is the appliance in contact with furnitures or
appliances?
Is any object placed on the cover?
Note:
a light noise (gurgling) caused by the
circulation of refrigerating gas, even after the
compressor has come to a complete stop, has to be
considered absolutely normal.
4. The green light is off and the appliance does
not operate
Is there a break in electric current?
Is the plug well connected in the socket?
Is the electrical cable broken?
Is the thermostat positioned on STOP?
If the compressor is operating, replace the
green light.
5. Is there water on the bottom of the
appliance?
See paragraph Cleaning on page 18.
6. The compressor is running continuously.
Has warm food been placed in the appliance?
Is the appliance overloaded?
Has the door of the appliance been left open for
a long time?
Is the appliance placed in a very warm room or
near heat sources?
7. Too much frost on the upper frame when
appliance operates as freezer.
Are plugs for water drain correctly placed?
Is the cover well closed?
Does the cover joint have any wrinkle or
deformation? (see chapter Installation on
page 21)
Note:
Under particular climatic conditions
(humidity more than 85%) or installation in a wet
or badly ventilated room, it is possible to find some
condensation nevertheless this will not
compromise the operating of the appliance.
