6.5” Speaker Ring Adapter Installation Instructions
1) Remove the top 3 windshield screws from the outer
fairing, remove the windshield and then temporarly
place the center screw back into the fairing.
2) Remove lower inside fairing screws using T-27 torx
bit on the left and right sides of the fairing (inside
the forks, then remove the torx screws from the
outer left and right sides of the fairings.
3) Next carefully unplug the fairing and remove the
outer shell.
4) Unplug the wires from the speakers and remove the
speakers from the fairing.
5) Remove the factory speaker spacer mounts from the
fairings making sure to save the factory speaker
grills.
6) Install the 6 1/2” speaker adapter rings, placing the
speaker grill between the adapter and the fairing.
Install the adapter rings with the supplied hardware,
using the shorter screw in te lower adapter mount
location on each side. (Caution: be very careful to
not overtighten these screws as damage WILL occur
to the dash side of the fairing)
7) Now install your new speakers onto the adapter
rings with the hardware that is included with the
speakers. (Note: The speaker adapter rings have two
sets of speaker mounting holes. Position on each
side so that the speaker mounting holes line up with
the side fairing support bracket tab)
8) Reinstall the speaker wires making sure to hook up
the wires correctly using te chart provided below.
White w/orange stripe Left Positive
Green w/white stripe Left Negative
Gray w/red stripe Right Positive
Green w/black stripe Right Negative
9) Now its time to put the fairing back together on the
bike and enjoy your new sound.
