Intended Use

The hair dryer is intended to be used for drying and

styling your hair. Do not use the hair dryer to dry ar-

tiﬁcial hair. The hair dryer is only intended for private

use, not for commercial purposes. Any use other

than that described here or any product modiﬁca-

tion is prohibited and can result in injury and / or

If your hair dryer falls into water

won’t protect you under these

circumstances. A GFCI oﬀers you

far greater protection. A GFCI

is a sensitive device that reacts

immediately to a small electric

current leak by stopping the

electricity ﬂow.

ALWAYS CHECK THE ALCI

SAFETY FEATURE BEFORE

USING THE HAIR DRYER!

This hair dryer is equipped with

an Appliance Leakage Circuit In-

terrupter (ALCI) - a safety feature

that renders it inoperable under

some abnormal conditions, such

as immersion in water.

To make sure the ALCI is function-

ing properly, perform the follow-

ing test with 60 Hz frequency

1. Plug in hair dryer and press test

button on plug.

will be an audible click and a

reset button will pop out.

3. To reset ALCI with a reset button,

unit should be unplugged, then

push reset button in, and reinsert

plug into outlet.

4. If ALCI is not functioning properly,

discard or return to a service cen-

ter for examination and repair.

5. It is important that if broken, im-

mersion, or similar occurs, this

unit must be brought to a service

center, do not try to reset.

The purpose of this test is to allow

you to make sure the ALCI is

working.

Before Use

Stand on a dry, non-conductive ﬂoor.

Ensure your hands are dry.

Dry your hair with a hand towel before use.

Note: Depending on the switch setting and duration

of use, the styling nozzle 1, the diﬀuser 12 and

the hair dryer can become very hot.

There is the risk of fire and burns!

Do not touch the styling nozzle 1.

Note: Ensure that no ﬂammable liquids are located

in the proximity of the hair dryer.

Note: Ensure that no hair can be directly drawn in.

Use

Note: When using the hair dryer for the ﬁrst time

you may notice a slight smell, which will however

disappear after a short time.

Note: For your safety, the hair dryer switches oﬀ

automatically if it overheats. Unplug the power cord

from the outlet and allow it to cool down. Before you

switch it on again, check the air inlet openings 3,

the air outlet opening 2 and the ﬁlters 5, 5 a for

any blockages (e.g. sucked-in lint, dust, hair).

Switching on:

Pull out the power cord 6 from the cable reel

and plug it into the outlet.

Switch on the hair dryer by pressing the speed

switch 8. Choose between:

Use the heat switch 9 to select the desired

Dry and / or style your hair however you wish.

Switching off:

Switch oﬀ the hair dryer by setting the speed

switch 8 to position “0“.

Cool shot function:

The cool shot function is designed for ﬁnal styling.

It cools your hair down and sets it for better results.

Press the speed switch 6 to switch on the hair

dryer.

Activate the cool shot function by keeping the

cold air button 10 pressed.

Release the cold air button 10 again to

return to the previously selected heat setting.

Ionizing function:

This hair dryer features an integrated ionizing functio

When drying hair with a hair dryer, it may sometimes

become static and begin to ‘ﬂy away’.

The ionizing function neutralizes and eliminates static

electricity in the hair. The hair will be soft, smooth,

shiny and easier to style.

Note: To achieve the best results with the ionizing func-

tion, use the hair dryer without attachments 1, 12 .

Drying and styling your hair

To dry your hair quickly, brieﬂy switch the hair

dryer to a higher speed and heat setting. After

drying your hair, switch the hair dryer to a

lower speed heat setting to style your hair.

You can use the included styling nozzle 1 to

aim the airﬂow in the required direction for styl-

ing. Attach the styling nozzle 1 to the hair

dryer so that it clicks into place and ﬁts securely.

Use the diﬀuser 12 for more gentle drying or to

make waves. To do so, ﬁrst remove the styling

nozzle 1 and attach the diﬀuser 12 to the hair

dryer so that it clicks into place and ﬁts securely.

Before you comb your hair, allow it to cool

down brieﬂy so the hair does not lose its style.

You can use the cold air button 10 or level

I of the heat settings 9 to cool your hair.

After Use

Note: Keep the appliance in a dry location and

out of the reach of children.

Note: Use the hanging loop 7 to hang the hair

dryer from a hook.

Unplug the cord from the power outlet after

every use.

Allow the hair dryer to cool down.

Press the retract button 4 to retract the

cord. Keep the power cord 6 from twisting.

RISK OF INJURY! The power

cord 6 retracts very quickly. Guide the power

cord 6 with the other hand to avoid injuries.

Cleaning and Care

allow liquid to enter the hair dryer.

Do not clean the hair dryer in the dishwasher.

Do not clean the hair dryer with ﬂammable

liquids.

Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaners.

Clean the outside of the hair dryer and the

accessories with a soft cloth, which has been

slightly dampened with warm water.

Use tweezers or a brush to remove any lint, dust

and hair from the air outlet opening 2, the air

inlet openings 3 and the ﬁlter 5, 5 a before

every use.

Remove the ﬁlter 5, 5 a from the hair dryer, if

necessary. To do this you can either remove the

inner ﬁlter

5 a

upwards and then remove the ﬁlt

from front to back, or remove both ﬁlters 5, 5 a

together from front to back.

Insert the ﬁlters 5 onto the hair dryer so the

tabs lock into the notches on the hair dryer

housing.

Place the ﬁlter 5 a onto the ﬁlter 5, until it

snaps into place.

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging through your

local recycling facilities and in compli-

ance with all federal, state and local

regulations.

Please note the package markings

regarding waste separation, indicated

by abbreviations (a) and numbers (b),

meaning: 1–7: plastics / 20–22: paper

and cardboard / 80–98: composite

materials.

Contact your local waste management

authority for additional information on

how to dispose of the used product.

To help protect the environment, please dispose of

the product properly when it has reached the end

of its useful life, do not throw in the garbage. Infor-

mation on collection sites and their opening hours

is available from your local authority.

Three year limited warranty

What does this warranty cover?

The warranty covers:

· Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.

· Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or

failure to follow the safety and maintenance in-

structions provided in the user manual.

What is not covered by the warranty?

The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

· Normal wear and tear of the product, including

fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);

· Improper use or transport;

· Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;

· Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, ﬁre,

water, etc.);

· Tampering with the product (such as removing

cover, unscrewing screws etc.).

Consequential and incidental damages are also

not covered under this warranty. However, some

states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of in-

cidental or consequential damages, so this limitation

or exclusion may not apply to you.
