EXS-70 CREEP HEAT CONTROLLER (7000 WATTS)
The EXS-70 is an electronic device which controls the temperature of heat mats. The heat intensity
can be controlled manually by using a dimmer or it can be controlled automatically by a 0-10V signal.
To avoid exposing the module to harmful gases or excessive humidity, it
is preferable to install it in a corridor.
All cables must pass through watertight connectors through the bottom
plate. Do NOT drill extra holes in the enclosure.
Do NOT spray water on the controller

MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
Open the latch and lift the cover. Remove the black caps located on each of the four mounting
holes. Mount the enclosure on the wall using four screws. Be sure the electrical knockouts are at
the bottom of the enclosure in order to prevent water from entering the controller. Insert the
screws in the mounting holes and tighten. Fasten the four black caps provided with the controller
onto the four mounting holes. The enclosure must be mounted in a location that will allow the
cover to be completely opened right up against the wall.
USING THE CONTROLLER
ZONE SELECTION :
DIMMER :
MODE SELECTION :
Two resistive loads(max 3500W each) can be
connected to the EXS-70. Heat mats that are
connected to L1 are associated to zone 1 and mats
that are connected to L2 are associated to zone 2.
Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the page.
The heat intensity can be adjusted manually with the
dimmer. The manual mode must first be selected to
use this function (see below).
Manual : the heat mat located in the selected
zone(s) is controlled manually with the
dimmer.
: the heat mat in the selected zone(s)
stops operating.
Auto : the heat mat located in the selected
zone(s) is automatically adjusted by the
0-10V signal of the main controller.
