3. TIPS FOR USE
Types of bread
Sliced bread is the most suitable for use
in this toaster. If you wish to other types of
bread, bear the following in mind:
Cut the bread into regular-shaped slices
with an even thickness of around 1 cm.
Do not toast different types of bread
at the same time, or slices of different
thicknesses.
Do not spread butter, oil or similar on the
bread before toasting.
Selecting toast darkness
The toast browning can be set with the
browning control dial (3). The higher the
number, the darker the toast will be.
When choosing the toast darkness,
remember that dry bread and thin slices
toast quicker than fresh bread and
thicker slices. The browning selection
will therefore vary depending on the type
of bread, the quality of the bread and the
thickness of the slices.
The toast darkness must be selected
before switching on the toaster.
appliance unattended when
functioning. The bread
could catch fire inside the
toaster.
Ensure there are no
flammable objects on
or near the toaster, e.g.
curtains.
After using the appliance,
allow it to cool down
before putting it away.
When the appliance is no
longer useful, cut its cord
after unplugging it from the
mains.
This appliance can be
used by children aged
from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or
lack of experience and
knowledge if they have
been given supervision or
instruction concerning use
of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the
hazards involved.
Do not allow children to
perform cleaning and user
maintenance when they are
without supervision.
Children should be
watched to ensure they do
not play with the appliance.
For greater protection,
we recommend installing
a residual current device
(RCD) with an operational
residual current not
exceeding 30 mA. Ask your
installer for advice.
CAUTION: Do not touch
the surfaces marked with
the "

immediately after use. They
are very hot!
4. FUNCTIONING

Press the toast lever down until it is
11
retained at the bottom of the toaster. The
toasting cycle will then begin.
When the toasting cycle ends, the bread
will pop up automatically and the toaster
will switch off. If you wish to toast more
bread, wait 1 or 2 minutes before using
the toaster again.
If you wish to remove the bread before
the toasting cycle finishes, press the
stop button. The bread will automatically
pop up and the toaster will switch off.
When you finish using the toaster,

Important: If a slice of bread becomes
stuck in the toaster, proceed as follows:
Unplug the toaster and wait for it to cool

Then carefully remove the bread. Do not

function, watch the bread to make sure that
it does not burn.

6. INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT
DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND
ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES
At the end of its working
life, the product must not be
disposed of as urban waste.
It must be taken to a special
local authority differentiated
waste collection centre or
to a dealer providing this
service. Disposing of a
household appliance separately avoids
possible negative consequences for the
environment and health deriving from
inappropriate disposal and enables the
constituent materials to be recovered to
obtain significant savings in energy and
resources.
To remind you that you must collaborate
with a selective collection scheme, the
symbol shown appears on the product
warning you not to dispose of it in
traditional refuse containers.
For further information, contact your local
authority or the shop where you bought the
product.
Do not use solvents or abrasive products to
clean the toaster.
To remove crumbs, pull out the crumb
tray. Avoid touching the metal edges of the
crumb tray. Clean it and replace it in its
slot.

3. BENUTZUNGSHINWEISE
Brotarten
Toastbrot ist zum Toasten am geeignetsten.
Soll anderes Brot verwendet werden,
beachten Sie bitte folgende Hinweise:
Schneiden Sie gleichmäßige Scheiben
von ca. 1 cm Dicke.
Toasten Sie nicht gleichzeitig
verschiedene Brotarten oder
unterschiedlich dicke Scheiben.
4. FUNKTIONSWEISE
Den Toaster auf eine ebene und
hitzebeständige Fläche stellen.
Vor der Benutzung sicherstellen,
dass sich keinerlei Objekte in den
Röstschlitzen befinden.
Nehmen Sie den Toaster beim ersten
Mal ohne Brot in Betrieb. Stellen
Sie dabei den Röstgradregler auf
die maximale Position. So werden
mögliche Fertigungsrückstände
entfernt.
Die Brotscheibe in den Toastschlitz
stecken.
Den Toastgrad einstellen.
Den Stecker in die Steckdose stecken.
Die Absenktaste nach unten drücken,
bis sie im unteren Teil einrastet. Jetzt
beginnt der Toastzyklus.
Wenn dieser Zyklus beendet ist, wird
das Brot automatisch aus dem Gerät
gehoben und der Toaster schaltet aus.
Vor einem weiteren Toastzyklus bitte 1
bis 2 Minuten warten.
Wenn Sie das Brot während des
Toastvorgangs herausnehmen wollen,
bevor der Zyklus beendet ist, betätigen
Sie bitte die Taste "Stop". Das Brot
wird dann automatisch aus dem Toaster
gehoben und der Toaster schaltet ab.
Wenn der Toaster nicht weiter benutzt
werden soll, ziehen Sie den Stecker aus
dem Netzanschluss und warten Sie, bis
das Gerät abgekühlt ist, bevor Sie es
aufbewahren.
Achtung: Sollte eine Brotscheibe im
Toaster steckenbleiben, gehen Sie bitte
folgendermaßen vor:
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker heraus und
warten Sie, bis das Gerät abgekühlt ist.
Nehmen Sie dann das Brot vorsichtig
heraus, ohne dabei metallene oder
spitze Gegenstände zu verwenden.
Versuchen Sie nicht das Brot
herauszunehmen, solange der Toaster in
Betrieb.
Aufwärm-Funktion
Die kalte Toastscheibe kann durch
Hineingeben in den Toasterschlitz
aufgewärmt werden, indem der Hebel nach
unten gedrückt und die Steuerung zum
variablen Toasten auf die Aufwärm-Position
gebracht wird. Das Licht für das Aufwärmen
leuchtet und die Toastscheibe wird
innerhalb einer kurzen und feststehenden
Zeit aufgewärmt.
Anmerkung: Wenn Sie die Aufwärm-
Funktion benutzen, überwachen Sie das
Toastbrot, um sicherzustellen, dass es nicht
anbrennt.
Auftau-Funktion
Die Auftau-Funktion dient zum Auftauen
bzw. Toasten von tief gefrorenem Toastbrot,
was alles in demselben Arbeitsschritt
erfolgt.
Stellen Sie die Steuerung für variables
Toasten auf die Stufe der gewünschten
Farbe. Beginnen Sie mit einer mittleren
Einstellung (3-4) und stellen Sie die
Steuerung für variables Toasten je nach
persönlichem Geschmack auf heller oder
dunkler.
