Troubleshoot for Device Connect
1. The device has been in net-pairing status.
2. The router password is correct.
3. The device has been added using 2.4GHZ WI-FI band. Enable the
Wi-Fi broadcast function and do not set it to hide mode
4. The encryption method of the wireless routers is WPA2PSK, the
authentication type is AES, or both are set as automatic. 11nonly is
not allowed in wireless mode
5. The Wi-Fi name does not contain any Chinese characters.
6. The number of the routers connected devices reach the limit, try to
turn off some devices Wi-Fi functions and configure again.
7. The router has enabled the wireless MAC address filter, try to remove
the device from the routers MAC filter list to ensure the device is not
prohibited by the route to connect to the network.
Connection Tips from Customer
1. Power the plug on 10s then off.
2. Plug it back and hold on 5s until hear a click and it blinks fast.
3. Following the direction to connect.
4. Repeat 1-3 to try.
Troubleshooting for Offline Device
1. Check the network is stable: Put a phone or an tablet next to the
device and make sure they are connected to the same network, then
try to open a web page.
2. Confirm whether the Wi-Fi name, password, etc have been modified.
If so, remove the device and add it again. (Open the App and enter
the device control, click ... button on the top right corner, click on
the bottom of the page ‘Remove device’)
3. Reboot the router and observe the status of the device for 3 mins.
4. Re-set the device: remove the plug on Smart Life App, plug it on and
hold the power button on 5 second until you hear a click and the
light starting fast blinks. Following the direction to set it up again to
see if it back to work well.
5. If the network is in good condition and no sign of modifications after
troubleshooting, please go to the device’s control page and click the
... button in the upper right hand corner to get into the “More”
page, Then click “feedback” and enter the issue you encountered and
provide your router model, we will handle it ASAP.
Troubleshooting for App Unavailable
App is not able to control the device remotely or function unavailable.
Device status can’t synchronize with the status displayed on the App.
If the device is controlled by a physical switch,the device may not be
synchronized at the same time, so please you open the App and the
device status will be updated after operating.
How to cancel the countdown setting?
Please set the countdown timer at 0 hours and 0 minute to cancel the
countdown.
Fail to find “Smart Life-xxxx” when using AP mode.
Please find the “undefined-xxxx” in the Wi-Fi list, or other similar
hotspots to connect.
Third-Part Control Issue
Third-Party device is connected but unable to perform voice control.
1. Check the user manual of the third party control device app and see if
this voice command is recognized accurately.
2. Check to re-link Smart Life account to this voice control app.
