Echinacea, which are also known by their common name cone
flower, are bright, tall, drought-resistant, and a pollinator’s
breakfast. Being daisy-like and fragrant, bumble bees,
hummingbirds and butterflies flock to them. For years, it was
a favorite of the herbal medicine industry and was always
one of the greatest wild flowers on the plains. Plant en masse
to create curb appeal and help support threatened wild life.

About This Variety: Echinacea Purpurea, commonly called purple coneflower, produces showy, daisy-like, large,
purple flowers that bloom atop strong, stiff stems with broad, dark green leaves. The plant is said to have edible and
medicinally uses.
Growing Instructions: Best planted in full sun but choose your location wisely, as they will return for years
to come.
Care Tip: Plants usually rebloom without deadheading, however prompt removal of spent flowers improves general
appearance. However it will freely self-seed if seed heads are left in place.

Height: Grows 2-5’ tall
Spacing: Plant 2-5’ apart, 1.5 -2” deep
