USING YOUR CR-75 CARD READER TO READ SIM CARDS
*In order to use this card reader’s Sim Card function, you must first install the included software
installation CD. To do so, insert the installation CD into the CD-Rom drive of your computer. This should
automatically begin the installation of Sim Card Editor 4.0. If installation does not start automatically,
click on the START menu in Windows, and select RUN. Type D:\SIMSetup.exe and click OK.
*Once Sim Card Editor 4.0 is installed on your computer, you can proceed to connect your CR-75 card
reader to one of your computer’s USB ports using the included USB Connection Cable. You can then insert
a SIM Card into the reader. Next, go to the START menu in Windows, select PROGRAMS, then SIM
EDITOR, and SIM CARD EDITOR 4.0. This will open up the Sim Card Editor 4.0 program, and you can
begin reading and editing your Sim Cards.
*For more information on using Sim Card Editor 4.0, start the program, select HELP in the toolbar, and
choose CONTENT. This will open a more detailed set of instructions on using the program.
NOTE: Sim Card Editor 4.0 is for Windows only. Sim card reading function is not available for Mac OS.
USING YOUR CR-75 CARD READER TO READ ALL OTHER MEMORY CARDS
*If you are using Windows ME, 2000, or XP, then data can be accessed and used just like a floppy drive,
or any other removable media drive. First, connect your CR-75 card reader to one of your computer’s
USB ports using the included USB Connection cable. Next, insert a memory card in the appropriate slot.
In Windows PCs, you can double click on the MY COMPUTER icon, and a new drive letter labeled
REMOVABLE DISK will be accessible. By double clicking on this drive, you can access the content of your
memory card. If you are using a Mac OS, then an extra drive will mount on your desktop when the card
reader is connected to your computer and a memory card is inserted.
*If you are using the Windows 98se operating system, an extra driver will be necessary for your computer
to recognize this card reader. This driver can be downloaded by going to www.sakar.com
