Refer to the illustration Fig. 1 on page 1 of the Installation Poster for part identifi cation.
The following instructions replace Install Step 1 on page 1 of the installation poster.

COMPLETE ASSEMBLY STEP 1 FROM THE ASSEMBLY/INSTALLATION POSTER, THEN:
1. Remove Pulley Guard screws and slide Pulley Guard, unscrew Tensioner Nut,
slide Pulley, then drop Pulley Pin through hole. Slide Pulley/Tensioner Assembly
out the end of the door end rail section, allowing slack in belt. Fig. 1. This will
cause the Drive Gear Assembly on the operator end of the rail to move. This is normal.

Lift Bullet out of rail. Remove the four screws in the bullet, separate the
bullet halves and remove the belt from the bullet. See Fig. 2 & 3.

Slide one half of the short rail connector onto the door end rail section. Fig. 7.

Replace Pulley Pin in hole and slide pulley/tensioner assembly into the rail extension
and belt into rail. Replace pulley guard and screws. Fig. 7. Do not tighten Tensioner Nut
at this time.
9 Slide short rail extension end without holes into short rail connector until
middle holes align with end holes in connector.
WARNING
Carefully read all instructions and warnings
contained in the Opener Installation Poster and/or Manual prior to
assembly of Extension Rail. Safety Glasses are required for this task.

Discard the old belt. Ensure new belt has no kinks, twists or bindiing.
Slide Drive Gear Assembly to the end of rail. Fig. 8.

Turn rail assembly over being careful not to damage door arm and
place Drive Gear Assembly tabs into slots on rail section A. Fig. 8.
13 . INSERT TWO SCREWS INTO DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY AS SHOWN.
MAKE SURE BOTH SCREWS SECURELY FASTEN DRIVE GEAR ASSEMBLY
TO THE RAIL. Screws are in the retail box in a small plastic bag inside a
GREEN parts bag. Set Green parts bag aside at this time.

3. Attach the end of new belt (end to end) to old belt with tape or twine. Fig. 4.

Pull the other end of the old belt out of the rail while feeding the new belt into the rail until
both ends of new belt are at the bullet. See Fig. 3. IMPORTANT! Maintain the belt alignment.
6. Insert belt ends into bullet orienting bullet and belt as shown in Fig. 6. and reassemble.
IMPORTANT: The belt and bullet MUST be assembled in the proper alignment.

Place bullet and belt into rail.

Tie the release cord extension to the existing cord and adjust the height of the handle to
within reach but at least 6 ft. above the floor once unit is installed.

Tighten Tensioner Nut until belt does not ride on Rail.
