Assembly
Air Inlet (56)
Air Connection
1. Attach an air hose (not supplied) to the Air
Inlet (56) fitting.
2. Optionally, for easy connection or removal,
attach an Air Quick-coupler (not supplied)
to the hose and Air Inlet (56) fitting.
3. Retighten all couplings and fittings. See photos on the next page.
Oiler and Filter Connection
Dirt, water, and the lack of pneumatic tool oil are major causes for tool wear. Install
an optional oiler-filter, as illustrated below for better performance.
1. Connect the air tool, air hoses, filter, and oiler to the Compressor Air Outlet as
illustrated below.
The filter and oiler (not supplied) are recommended but not mandatory for operation.
SKU 93900 For technical questions, please call 1-800-444-3353. Page 5
If the filter and oiler are not used, connect the air hose directly to the 1/4 inch,
18 NPT connector located at the Air Inlet (13) fitting. Also, a few drops of
pneumatic tool oil must be added through the air line before each use.
Note: Use pipe thread seal tape on all threaded connections.
Secure Drill Bit
Before each use, insert the Hex Wrench (57) into the Set Screw on the Supporter
(45) and tighten to the flat surface on the shank of the Drill Bit (46).

Drilling a Spot Weld
1. Push in on the Supporter (45) and verify that it lines up with the top of the Drill
Bit (46).
2. Measure the height of the spot weld to be drilled. Turn the Adjustment Wheel (29)
so that the distance between the top of the Supporter (45) and the top of the Drill
Bit (46) equals the height of the spot weld.
3. Connect the compressor air hose (minimum 3/8” I.D.) to the Air Inlet (56) on the
handle of the Housing (1).
4. Turn the compressor (not supplied) on and set the air compressor pressure
regulator to 90 PSI.
SKU 93900 For technical questions, please call 1-800-444-3353. Page 6
If any air is leaking, turn off the compressor, disconnect the air hose, and repair
the leak. Repeat steps 3 and 4.
5. Push in on the Supporter (45) and place the Drill Bit (46) over the spot weld to
be drilled and release the Supporter; then release Supporter (45).
The spot weld must be within two inches from the edge of the metal where the
spot weld is located. The two inch Arm (50) goes under the metal with the spot
weld.
6. Grip the Air Drill firmly with both hands and press down on the Trigger (12).
Press the Trigger to the first click to operate the drill at low speed so you can
position the bit in place. Press it all the way in to drill.
Caution: If the Air Drill will not turn, or if it stalls while drilling, do not raise the
outlet pressure of the air compressor. Do not continue with attempts to drill
until the problem is resolved.
7. Press down with steady, even pressure. Let the Drill Bit do the drilling. While
drilling, turn the adjustment wheel to draw the Arm (50) and Bit (46) together.
8. When the Supporter (45) will not allow the Drill Bit to continue further, the drilling
is complete.
If part of the spot weld remains, turn the Adjustment Wheel (29) to allow the Drill
Bit to drill deeper, and repeat steps 5 to 8.
9. When finished drilling, turn the compressor off and remove the hose connection
to the Air Drill.
10. Press and hold in the Trigger (12) to release any air remaining in the Air Drill.
Maintenance
1. After each use, wipe the Air Drill with a clean cloth to remove any dirt and
grease buildup.
2. To maintain tool life, always lubricate the air line by adding a few drops of
pneumatic tool oil to the air line before each use. Or, install the automatic
oiler-filter system as illustrated on page 5.
3. Before each use, drain water out of the air compressor tank and condensation
from the air lines. Refer to the Air Compressor Operator’s Manual.
Manual Tool Lubrication
1. Disconnect the Air Drill from the air supply and turn it so the Air Inlet fitting is
facing upward.
2. Hold the Trigger (12) in and place one teaspoon of pneumatic tool oil into the air
inlet (use SAE #10 weight oil if air tool oil is not available). Holding the Trigger
lever in helps circulate the oil in the air motor.
3. Connect the Air Drill to the air supply and cover the Muffler Cover (11) with a
towel. Run for a few seconds. Excess oil with be blown out the Muffler (54).

Replacing the Drill Bit
1. Disconnect the air line from the Air Drill.
2. Press and hold the Trigger (12) to release any remaining air.
3. Unscrew the Lock Nut (47) by turning it counterclockwise and slide it up and
over the Arm (50).
4. Grab the Arm (50) and turn it side to side while pulling it up and off the Housing
(1).
5. Using the Hex Wrench (57), loosen the Set Screw in the Supporter (45), then pull
out the Drill Bit (46).
6. Replace the Drill Bit and retighten the Set Screw on the flat surface of the Drill
Bit.
7. Replace the Arm (50).
8. Replace the Lock Nut (47) by turning it clockwise over the Housing (1). Securely
tighten Lock Nut.
