23. Only use safety equipment that has been approved
by an appropriate standards agency. Unapproved
safety equipment may not provide adequate
protection. Fall-arrest systems must be OSHA-
approved, eye protection must be ANSI-approved,
and breathing protection must be NIOSH-approved
for the specific hazards in the work area.
24. Store idle Scaffold out of the reach of children and
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the Scaffold to
climb on, or use it for any purpose. The Scaffold
is dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

person only. This will ensure that the
safety of this Scaffold is maintained.
28. Only use the included platform or an identical
replacement platform. The platform must
not extend beyond the base support.
29. Maintain labels and nameplates on the
Scaffold. These carry important safety
information. If unreadable or missing, contact
Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.

discussed in this instruction manual cannot

1. Mount the Swivel Casters (4) to the bottom of the
End Frames (1) by sliding each Swivel Caster (4)
into a leg and securing it with a Locking Pin (5).
Then snap the Pin Spring (6) around the end of the
Locking Pin to keep it in place. Refer to Figure A.

2. Slide a Side Rail (2) onto an End Frame and
secure in place using Height Adjustment Pin (7)
and a Locking Pin and Pin Spring. Secure
the other end of the Side Rail to the other End
Frame in the same manner. Refer to Figure B.

3. Lay the Wood Platform (3) over the Flange Pins that
extend up from the Side Rails and into the oblong
holes cut in the Wood Platform. These Flange Pins
must fit properly. Secure the Wood Platform in place
with the Platform Hold Downs (8). Refer to Figure C.

must be in position as shown at all times
to keep the Wood Platform secure.
4. In addition to the Platform Hold Downs, use
the four Bolts (9), Nuts (10) and Washers (11)
to further secure the Wood Platform in place.
5. Guard rail holders are built into the Scaffold as noted
in Figure C. Guard rails (sold separately) must be
installed by a qualified technician. They must fit
properly into the Scaffold’s holders and must be
secured in place.

be used, grasping and pushing the scaffold
at points no higher than 5 feet off the floor

3. A ladder should normally be used to climb onto the
Scaffold. G.*%7,99*(%5'#$%+*%/&#"$"&8*9%#&%,#%

,3,"8#$%"$1 Any “attachable” ladders used must
be specifically designed for this type of Scaffold.
They must clamp securely in place to the Scaffold
and any ladder used must be securely held in
place during use to prevent movement. Any
ladder (normal or stairway type) must meet
OSHA requirements for use with scaffolds.
4. If the Scaffold will be accessed directly (such as
from an opening in the side of a building), it cannot
be more than 14 inches horizontally nor more
than 24 inches vertically from the other surface.

consists of either personal fall arrest systems, or
guardrail systems meeting OSHA requirements.
6. For most activities, there must be no more than
a 14 inch gap between the Scaffold platform and
the structure being worked on. One exception
is when using for lathing and plastering.
For this, a gap of 18 inches is permitted.
7. If toe-boards, guardrails, or canopies are used to
prevent a “falling object” hazard to passers-by,
then the area below the Scaffold must be
barricaded and the danger clearly stated.
8. All plug-in electric tools used on the Scaffold
must be protected by a GFCI outlet or plug.
9. When finished using the Scaffold, wipe down the
Wood Platform (3) and all metal supports. Then
store the tool indoors out of children’s reach.
M&$*- Be aware of any grease or other oily substance
spilled on Wood Platform and wipe up immediately.

• cracked or loose wheels or wheel locks
• straightness/levelness of Platform and Scaffold
• loose bolts
• misalignment of parts

• any other condition that may
affect its safe operation.
2. Periodically coat wood decking and rails with
transparent (penetrating) wood preservative.

and warrants to the original purchaser that this product is free from defects in materials and workmanship for the
period of 90 days from the date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage due directly or indirectly,
to misuse, abuse, negligence or accidents, repairs or alterations outside our facilities, criminal activity, improper
installation, normal wear and tear, or to lack of maintenance. We shall in no event be liable for death, injuries
to persons or property, or for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages arising from the use of
our product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the
above limitation of exclusion may not apply to you. THIS WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER
WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS.
To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation charges
prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise.
If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair or replace the product at our election or we may
elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily and quickly provide you with a replacement. We will
return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted
from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of returning the product.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
