This section contains important information pertaining to
correct and safe usage of your mobile phone. Read carefully
before using your device.
Electronic Device
Switch off your Neptune B505 in places that prohibit mobile
phone use. Do not use your mobile phone when it can
cause danger or interference with electronic devices.
Medical Device
• Power off your device and follow the rules and regulations
set by hospitals and health care facilities.
• Manufacturers recommend a minimum distance of 15 cm
from the pacemaker to prevent mobile phones from
potentially causing interferences with the pacemaker. If
you are using a pacemaker, use the device on the
opposite side of the pacemaker and do not carry the
device in your front pocket.
• Some mobile phones have been found to affect the
performance of hearing aids. For such issues, please
consult your network provider.
Potentially Explosive Atmospheres
Comply with all signs and instructions. Power off your
mobile phones in areas that are potentially explosive, or
where you would normally be advised to switch off your
vehicle’s engine. Using your mobile phone in such areas can
trigger sparks, which could cause an explosion or re,
resulting in bodily injuries or even death.
Do not switch on your mobile phone at refueling points
such as service stations. Comply with restrictions on the use
of radio equipment in fuel depots, storage, and distribution
areas, and chemical plants. You must adhere to restrictions
in areas where blasting operations are in progress.

7 Warnings and Precautions
9
Before using your mobile phone, watch out for potentially
explosive areas that are often, though not always, clearly
marked. Such areas include below-deck on boats, chemical
transfer or storage facilities, and areas where the air
contains chemicals, grain, dust, or metal powders. Ask the
manufacturers of vehicles using liqueed petroleum gas
(such as propane or butane) if mobile phones can be safely
used in their vicinity.
Trafc Security
Observe local laws and regulations while using your mobile
phone. If you are using your mobile phone while driving a
vehicle, please comply with the following guidelines:
Concentrate on driving. Your rst responsibility is to drive
safely.
Do not talk on your mobile phone while driving. Use
hands-free accessories.
Park your vehicle at the side of the road before making or
answering a call.
RF signals may affect electronic systems of some motor
vehicles. For more information on this, consult your
vehicle manufacturer.
Do not place your mobile phone over the air bag or in the
air bag deployment area. You may be injured by the
device, owing to the strong force of its trajectory when
the air bag inates.
Do not use your mobile phone while inside an aircraft.
Switch off the device before boarding. Using wireless
devices in an aircraft may be dangerous to the operation
of the aircraft, disrupt pilot-ground communications, and
may be considered illegal.

Neptune B505
Operating Environment
Do not use or charge your mobile phone in dusty, damp
or dirty places, or areas with magnetic elds. Otherwise,
the circuit may not function properly.
Your mobile phone complies with RF specications when
used near your ear or at a distance of 1.5 cm from your
body. Keep your mobile phone 1.5 cm away from your
body to meet the aforementioned requirement. Ensure
that accessories such as your mobile phone case or holster
are not composed of metal components.
Avoid using your mobile phone when charging in the
middle of a storm to prevent possible dangers caused by
lightning.
Avoid touching the antenna while on a call. Touching the
antenna affects call quality and increases power
consumption. In effect, talk time and standby time are
reduced considerably.
Observe the local laws and regulations while using your
mobile phone. Respect others' privacy and legal rights.
Use accessories authorized by Starmobile. Using
unauthorized accessories with your mobile phone will
render the warranty null and void.
Keep the ambient temperature between 0°C and 40°C
during mobile phone.
Preventing Hearing Damage
Using the receiver, earbuds, headphones, speakerphone or
earpieces at high volume can result in permanent hearing
loss. Be extremely careful when listening at high decibel
levels. Set the volume to a safe level. If you experience
strange ringing sounds in your ears or if you hear mufed
speech, get your hearing checked immediately. If you
continue to use high volume, your hearing will soon get
affected.
11
Neptune B505
Hearing experts offer the following suggestions to protect
your hearing:
Reduce the time you use the receiver, earbuds,
headphones, speakerphone, or earpieces at high volume.
Do not increase the volume to block noisy surroundings.
Reduce the volume if you can no longer hear people
speaking near you.
Safety of Children
Please comply with precautions concerning children's safety.
Letting a child play with your mobile phone and/or its
accessories, which may include parts that can be detached
from the device, may present a choking hazard and prove
to be dangerous. Keep your mobile phone and its
accessories out of reach of small children.
Environment Protection
Adhere to local regulations regarding safe disposal of
mobile phones and its electrical accessories including
chargers, headsets and batteries. Recycle them. Do not
dispose of an exhausted battery or a mobile phone as
common domestic rubbish.
Accessories
Use only the standard accessories (charger, battery, and
headset) provided with your mobile phone. Using
accessories of other manufacturers or vendors with this
mobile phone may invalidate any approval or warranty
applicable to the device. It may result in non-operation of
the mobile phone, and may ultimately prove dangerous.
Battery and Charger
The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of
times before it eventually wears out. When the standby
time and talk time run shorter than normal, it is advisable
to replace the battery.
12
Neptune B505
Use the AC power supply dened in the specications of
the charger. An improper power voltage may cause re or
the charger to malfunction.
If the ambient temperature is considerably low or high,
the capacity and life of the battery will be reduced. Using
your mobile phone in temperatures lower than 0°C will
affect battery performance.
Do not connect two poles of the battery with conductors
such as metal materials, keys or jewelries. Otherwise, the
battery may short-circuit and cause injuries and burns on
your body.
Do not disassemble the battery or solder battery poles.
This may lead to electrolyte leakage, overheating, re, or
an explosion.
In the event of a battery electrolyte leak, make sure that
the electrolyte does not touch your skin and eyes. If
electrolyte comes into contact with your skin or eyes,
immediately wash with clean water and consult a doctor.
Common signs of battery wear and/or damage includes
color change, and abnormal heat during storage or
charging. If this happens, remove the battery from your
mobile phone immediately and stop using it. Continuing
to use damaged batteries may lead to battery leakage,
overheating, explosion or re.
If the power cable is damaged (e.g. the lead is exposed or
broken), or if the plug is loose, stop using the cable at
once. Otherwise, it may lead to electric shock,
short-circuiting of the charger, or a re.
Do not dispose of batteries in re as they may explode.
Damaged batteries may also explode.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Your mobile phone, battery, and charger are not
water-resistant and must be kept dry at all times. Protect
your mobile phone and its components from water or
13
Neptune B505
vapor. Touching the device with wet hands may lead to
short-circuiting or device malfunction, and electric shock
to the user.
Do not place your mobile phone, battery, or charger in
places where it can get damaged due to collision. This
may lead to battery leakage, device malfunction,
overheating, re, or explosion.
Do not place magnetic storage media such as magnetic
cards and oppy disks near your mobile phone. Radiation
from your mobile phone may erase the information on
the storage media.
Do not leave your mobile phone, battery, or charger in
extremely hot or cold places. Doing so results in
equipment malfunction and may lead to a re or an
explosion.
Do not place sharp metal objects such as pins near the
earpiece. These objects may fall into the earpiece and hurt
you when you are using your mobile phone.
When cleaning your mobile phone, you must rst power
the device off and disconnect it from the charger.
Do not use detergent, powder, or other chemical agents
such as alcohol and benzene to clean your mobile phone
and charger. Otherwise, parts of your mobile phone may
get damaged, or cause a re. It is best to use a damp and
soft antistatic cloth for cleaning your mobile phone and
charger.
Do not dismantle the device or accessories. Otherwise,
Starmobile will not be liable to pay for damages as the
device and accessories are not covered by warranty.
Emergency Call
Your mobile phone provisions for emergency calls when in
the coverage of your network service area. The connection,
however, cannot be guaranteed in all conditions. You
should not rely solely on your mobile phone for essential
communications.
