•The appliance is intended solely for domestic use within
the home.
Avoidtouchingthewarmsurfaces,especially
the outside of the appliance when the appliance is in
use.
•Beforepluggingintoasocket,checkthatthevoltagein
your home corresponds with the voltage printed at the
bottom of the appliance.
•Neverletthepowercordoftheappliancehangover
theedgeofatableorcounter,touchhotsurfacesor
become knotted.
•Neverplacethisapplianceonornearahotgasor
electric burner or in such a place where it could touch a
heated oven or microwave. Do not allow this appliance
tocomeincontactwithcurtains,wallcoverings,
clothing,dishtowelsorotherammablematerials
during use.
•Alwaysusetheapplianceonasecure,dry,levelsurface.
•Neverleavetheapplianceunattendedwheninuse.
•Alwayscarryoutregularchecksofthepowercordto
ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs
ofdamagetothepowercordintheslightestdegree,
the entire appliance should be returned to the Customer
Service Department to replace the cord in order to
avoid a hazard.
•Foryourownsafety,onlyusetheaccessoriesandspare
parts from the manufacturer which are suitable for the
appliance.
•Alwaysreturntheapplianceafteramalfunction,orif
it has been damaged in any manner to the Customer
ServiceDepartmentforexamination,repairor
adjustment as special purpose tools are required.
•Neverunplugitfromthesocketbypullingthecable.
•Alwaysensurethatyourhandsaredrybeforehandling
theplug,switchorpowercord.

•Anelectricalapplianceisnotatoyandshouldtherefore
always be placed outside of the reach of children.
Children are not always able to understand potential
risks. Teach children a responsible handling of electrical
appliances.
•Childrenshouldbesupervisedtoensurethattheydo
not play with the appliance.
•Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebypersons
(includingchildren)withreducedphysical,sensory
ormentalcapabilities,orlackofexperienceand
knowledge,unlesstheyhavebeengivensupervisionor
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
•Unplugtheapplianceassoonasyouhavenishedusing
it and when you are cleaning it.
•Ifanextensioncordisused,comparethemarked
electrical rating of the extension cord with the
electrical rating on the appliance. Make sure that
it can not be pulled by children or tripped over
unintentionally.
•Shouldyoudecidenottousetheapplianceanymore,
make it inoperative by cutting the power cord after
removing the plug from the socket. We also recommend
making all potentially dangerous parts of the appliance
harmless,particularlyforchildrenwhomightbe
tempted to play with them.
•Neverusetheapplianceifitisnotworkingproperly,
or if it has been damaged. Any intervention other than
cleaning and normal maintenance by the customer must
be carried out by an approved Service Centre.




intended,oriswhenitisnothandledinaccordance
withtheinstructionmanual,thefullresponsibilityfor
any consequences will rest with the user. Any damages
to the product or other things are not covered by the
warranty.

Beforeyouusetheapplianceforthersttime,pleasedo
asfollows:Unpack the appliance carefully and remove
allthepackagingmaterial.Keepthematerial(plastic
bagsandcardboard)outofreachofchildren.Checkthe
applianceafterunpackingforanyvisibledamage,that
could be caused by transportation.
Beforepluggingintoasocket,checkthatthevoltagein
your home corresponds with the voltage printed at the
bottom of the appliance. Place the appliance on a stable
and heat resistant surface.
Wipe the housing of the appliance only with a damp
cloth.Note:thenewappliancecangiveoffabitofsmoke
and the typically ‘new’ smell. It is therefore advisable
to switch the appliance on several times at the highest
setting without bread inside.
Use the toaster only for toasting bread. Do not prepare
sandwichesinthetoaster.Ifyoudo,cheeseandfatcan
come onto the heating elements which can shorten the
lifetime of the appliance.
The toaster is suited to toast two slices of bread at once.
Put the plug into the socket. Place one or two slices of
bread into the toasting slot. Push the bread lift lever
straight down to lower the slices. The rim around the
buttons will light up blue. The blue indicator light below
the CANCEL button and browning level 3 will also light
up.
Adjust the browning control with the + and - buttons. The
blue indicator light below the chosen browning level will
light up.
Oncethetoastingcyclehasnished,theappliancewill
automatically switch off and the lever will return to it’s
originalposition,liftingthetoastedslices.
Toremovesmallerpiecesofbread,liftupthebreadlift
lever - . This allows you to lift the bread higher and
is therefore easier to remove from the toasting slot.
Thebrowninglevelisadjustable;position1 is light and
position 5 is dark.
The toaster can .
This means that when you directly toast another slice
ofbread,thetoastercalculatesthetemperatureofthe
device and adjusts the toasting time. This will ensure that
your second slice of bread has the same browning as the
rstone.
With the  function you can defrost and toast bread
at the same time. Place the frozen bread in the toasting
slot,pushtheleverdownandpresstheDEFROSTbutton.
The blue indicator lights below the buttons DEFROST and
CANCEL will light up.
The browning control is preset on position 3. The
indicator light of position 3 will burn.
The change the browning control use the + and - buttons.
The bread will be defrosted and then toasted.
Ifyouwouldliketoreheatthebread,afterithasbeen
toasted,presstheREHEATbutton.Placethebreadinthe
toastingslot,pushtheleverdownandpresstheREHEAT
button. The blue indicator light below the REHEAT and
CANCEL button will light up.

Youcanstopanyprocess,toasting,reheatingand
defrosting,bypressingtheCANCELbutton.
The appliance will automatically switch off and the lever
willreturntoit’soriginalposition,liftingthetoasted
slices.
The toasting time depends on the dampness of the bread
and the thickness of the slice. If you only place one slice
intothetoaster,itispossiblethatwiththesamesetting
the slice will brown more. Select a lower setting of the
browning level.
Ifforwhateverreason,apieceofbreadiscaughtinto
thetoastingslots,donottrytoremoveitimmediately.
Use the hi-lift function to lift the piece of bread higher to
removeiteasier.Ifthisdoesnotwork,unplugthetoaster
andleaveittocooldownrst.Thantrytoremovethe
piece carefully without touching the heatingelements.
Pull the lever on the left downwards. The bun warmer
willautomaticallyrise.Placetherolls(max.2)youwant
to warm on the bun warmer and push the bread lift lever
down. The rim around the buttons will light up blue.
The blue indicator light below the CANCEL button and
browning level 3 will also light up.
Topreventoverheating,setthebrowningleveltoposition
1.Ifyouonlywanttowarmonebun,placeittowardsthe
center on the bun warmer.
Never place bread rolls directly on the toaster to prevent
damage to the appliance. Always use the bun warmer for
warming bread rolls.
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning. Wipe the
outside of the housing with a damp cloth and dry. 

 Remove the crumbtray at the
bottom of the toaster for easy cleaning of the inside. Pull
the crumbtray carefully at the handle from the side of
the toaster. Remove the crumbs and clean the crumbtray
with a damp cloth. Slide the crumbtray back into the
toaster after cleaning. Check the correct placement of
the crumbtray before re-use.

defect.
•Guaranteecanonlybegivenifproofofpurchase(e.g.
tillreceipt)canbeshown.Thereforekeepitinasafe

- damage through misuse use or when the instructions

-lackofmaintenance;

- incompetent montage or repairs made by yourself or
others;
- using accessories and spare parts which are not
suitablefortheappliance;forassessmentbyour
technical department.

-normalwear;
-externalcables;
-(interchangeable)signal-andcontrollamps for
assessment by our technical department.
Returntoyoursupplierofsendtheappliance,includinga
copyproofofpurchaseanddescriptionofthecomplaint,
stampedto:
•Packitcarefully(preferablyintheoriginalcarton).
Ensure unit is clean.
•Encloseyournameandaddressandquotemodel
number on all correspondence.
When the guarantee is no longer valid or when the period
ofguaranteehaspassed,wewillchargeanycoststhat
owoutofanassessmentand/orrepairing.
On request we will supply a statement before repairing.
Withoutrequestingastatement,weassumethatyou,by
sendingtheappliance,automaticallyordertorepairthe
appliance.
A guarantee period of two months is valid for repairs
done by our technical department and the used spare
parts,countingfromtherepairdate.Whenamalfunction
occurswithinthisperiodwhichdirectlyowsoutofthe
repairsandtheusedspareparts,theconsumerhasthe
right of repairs without any costs.

