Warning

to install the camera and keep the manual for future

3. Always keep the glass lens clean to obtain the best
picture quality. Clean only with dry cloth.
4. Do not install near water or heat sources such as

5. Do not install the camera in places with high humidity.

7. Do not install the camera in places enclosed by metal.

Thank you for choosing our Wi-Fi Network Camera. The QRT-301 features an easy-to-congure network interface,
allowing you to access the camera on your mobile/pad anywhere at any me.
If you are using a wireless router with the WPS funcon, all you need to do is to pair the router with the camera,
download the Kview QR applicaon on your portable device, scan the QR code to add the camera, and start viewing
the remote live view. The network conguraon can be completed without the use of a computer.

Network Conguraon
Procedures of Network Conguraon depend on the type of Router/Modem you are using.
For Wireless router, check if your wireless router supports WPS funcon.
For Wired router/modem, conrm which type of internet connecon (DHCP, Stac IP and PPPoE) you are using with
your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to complete the setup.
Wireless Router
If you are using a wireless router, check if your router supports WPS funcon before wireless setup.
Wireless Router With WPS Funcon
If your wireless router supports WPS funcon, perform the following to establish a connecon from the camera to the
wireless router. Make sure the WPS funcon on router is acvated rst.
1. Connect the camera to the power socket, using the power adapter.
2. Using a Pin tool, press and hold down the WPS/Reset buon for 2 seconds. The camera’s status LED (red)
starts blinking.
3. On your wireless router, press the WPS funcon key for a minute, to start WPS pairing.
IMPORTANT: For the WPS pairing process, you must press the WPS funcon within 1 minute aer
pressing the WPS/Reset buon in Step 2. However, the step may vary, depending on the wireless routers
conguraon.

4. When the red status LED (see “Product Overview” on page 5) turns o, wait for 10 seconds unl the
Camera boots up and starts rotang.
NOTE: When the red status LED starts blinking with a second interval, it means the wireless network
connecon is successful.
5. Download KviewQR applicaon and view the live view on your mobile devices. See “Connect to Camera” on
page 16.
Wireless Router Without WPS Funcon
If your wireless router does not support WPS funcon, perform the following to establish a connecon from the
camera to the wireless router:
1. Connect the camera to the power socket, using the power adapter.
2. Connect one end of the RJ45 cable (supplied) to the camera and the other end to the wireless router.

3. Make sure your camera and computer are connected to the same router.

4. Insert the CD (supplied) to your PC’s CD drive. Click on Search IP.
5. The program lists the camera by IP address. Double-click on the camera’s IP address eld.
The camera’s web client opens in your PC’s default web browser.
NOTE: The available funcons/menu opons may vary depending on the type of web browser. See “Web
Client Browser Compability” on page 44.
6. Enter the user name and password. NOTE: The default user name and password are “admin”.
7. Click Login.
8. Click and go to the Wireless LAN tab.
9. Click Search to search for wireless router.

10. Click on the router name and modify the following.
Check Using Wireless LAN opon.
Enter the wireless routers password in Key eld.
11. Click Save.
12. Disconnect the RJ45 Ethernet cable from the camera.

14. When the red status LED (see “Product Overview” on page 5) turns o, wait for 10 seconds unl the
Camera boots up and starts rotang.

15. Download KviewQR applicaon and view the live view on your mobile devices. See “Connect to Camera” on
page 16.

Wired Router/Modem
If you are using a wired router/modem, conrm the type of internet connecon you are using and the related network
connecon parameters with your Internet Service Provider (ISP), to complete the setup.
Dynamic Host Conguraon Protocol (DHCP): Select this connecon if your camera is connected to a router and DHCP
is enabled.
Stac IP (Stac Address): Select this connecon if your camera is directly connected to a DSL modem and your ISP has
supplied you with a predened IP for your Internet connecon.
Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE): Select this connecon if your camera is directly connected to the DSL
modem, and your ISP has supplied you with an authencaon username and password to the Internet.
DHCP
To establish a connecon from the camera to the wired router using DHCP, perform the following:
1. Connect the camera to the power socket, using the power adapter.
2. Connect one end of the RJ45 cable (supplied) to the camera and the other end to the wired router.

Stac IP and PPPoE
To establish a connecon from the camera to the wired router or modem with a stac IP or PPPoE, perform the
following:
1. Connect the camera to the power socket, using the power adapter.
2. Connect one end of the RJ45 cable (supplied) to the camera and the other end to the wired router or modem.

3. Make sure your camera and computer are connected to the same router or modem.

4. Right-click on Network icon ( ) and choose Open Network and Sharing Center on your PC.

5. On Network and Sharing Center click Local Area Connecon Status > Details and write down the network
parameters (IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS Servers).
6. Insert the CD (supplied) to your PC’s CD drive. Click on Search IP.
7. The program lists the camera by IP address. Right-click on the camera’s IP address eld and select
Network Conguraon.
8. In Network Conguraon menu, do the following modicaons:
Uncheck the DHCP Server opon.
Assign the camera a new IP address by changing the last three digits of the current IP address (0 ~ 255).
Enter the Subnet Mask, Gateway, and DNS server address that you just wrote down in Step 5.
NOTE: You need to enter the DNS server address if you plan to use the camera’s web client e-mail service
for receiving moon detecon/alarm nocaons. Verify DNS server address with your ISP if you cannot
nd it on Step 5.

Enter the user name and password.

9. Click OK.
10. Wait for a minute unl the camera’s IP address is listed on the screen.
11. Double-click on the camera’s IP address eld to open the camera’s web client on your PCs default web
browser.
12. Enter the user name and password.
NOTE: The default user name and password are “admin”.
13. Click Login.
14. Click and go to the Network tab.

15. On Network screen, do the following modicaons:
Depending on the Internet connecon you are using, select Stac Address or PPPoE as the network type.
Do the necessary modicaons to the network parameters.
16. Click Save.
17. Disconnect and connect the power adapter, to restart the camera.
18. When the red status LED (see “Product Overview” on page 5) turns o, wait for 10 seconds unl the
Camera boots up and starts rotang.
NOTE: When the red status LED starts blinking with a second interval, it means the wired network connecon
is successful.

When the network connecon to the camera is complete, use the methods described in this secon to start reviewing
the remote live view.

Using a Portable Device
To access remotely your camera from a smart phone/pad, perform the following:
1. Open the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).
2. Search for and install KviewQR applicaon.

3. Open KviewQR applicaon ( ) and tap (iOS) or tap (Android) to add a device.
4. To idenfy the camera, use one of the following opons:
Use a bar code scanner to idenfy the camera. Do the following:
a. Tap on the bar code ( ) (iOS) or Scan (Android) to open the bar code scanner.
b. Scan the bar code on camera.
NOTE: To scan the bar code, aim your portable device’s camera at the bar code so that the enre bar
code is visible on the screen.
Manually enter the 20-symbol QR Code (GUID) on the bar code label to the QR ID eld in KviewQR.
NOTE: This QR Code (GUID) can also be found on the camera’s web client: click > P2P Sengs > GUID.

5. Do the following:
iOS devices:
a) Enter the default camera password: “123456”.
b) Tap OK.
c) Change the device name if necessary.
d) Tap Save.
Android devices:
a) Enter the default camera password: “123456” and change the device name if necessary.

6. On Devices screen, tap camera to start viewing the live video from the camera.

To access remotely your camera from a PC, follow the steps:
1. Insert the CD (supplied) to your PC’s CD drive.
2. Click on PC Setup.
3. Follow the on-screen instrucons and install the applicaon on your PC.
4. Double-click to open the KGard_IPCamClient.
5. Enter the user name and password.
NOTE: The default user name and password are “admin”.
6. Click OK.
