Setting Up the External Enclosure

NOTE: It’s recommended that you ﬁrst create a copy of your original data prior to connecting to the external

enclosure to prevent the possibility of data loss should a mistake be made during the setup procedure.

1. Remove the two screws from the enclosure.

2. Remove the back cover from the enclosure.

3. Carefully connect your hard drive to the interface.

4.Re-insertyourharddriveintotheenclosure.

5. Replace and tighten the two screws to complete the procedure.

6.AttachtheUSBYcable’smini-Bmaleconnectortothejackontheenclosureand

thetwoType-Amaleconnectorstothedesiredcomputer.

NOTE: For Windows® Me/2000/XP/Vista™, no need to install additional driver: It’s already installed.

Windows® XP needs to be updated with SP2.
