Die Garantie kann in allen Ländern in Anspruch genommen

Please read these use instructions carefully before use
and keep them for future reference.
Important
•
Plug the appliance into an alternating
current outlet only and make sure that your
household voltage corresponds to the
voltage printed on the appliance.
•
This appliance must never be used
near water (e.g. a filled wash basin,
bathtub or shower). Do not allow the appli-
ance to get wet.
•
For additional protection, it is advisable
to install a residual current device (RCD)
with a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit
of your bathroom. Ask your installer for
advice.
•
This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack or experience and
knowledge if they have been given super-
vision or instructions concerning the use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children shall not play
with the appliance. Cleaning and mainte-
nance shall not be made by children unless
they are older than 8 years and supervised.
•
Do not touch the hot parts of the appliance.
•
When hot, do not place on surfaces that are
not heat-resistant.
•
Do not wrap the mains cord around the
appliance. Regularly check the mains cord
for wear or damage. If the cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by an authorized Braun
Service Centre or similarly qualified persons
in order to avoid a hazard.

Use the appliance on dried hair only.

Connecting
Remove the protective cap (4). Place the appliance on
a heat-resistant surface and plug it into a power socket.
The pilot light (3) shines to show that the appliance is
connected to the mains and heating up. You can start
straightening after about one minute heat-up time.
Please expect a longer heat-up time when operating the
appliance at 100 V.
To switch off, unplug the appliance.
Straightening
Make sure your hair is completely dry before using the
appliance.
First, comb your hair through with a wide toothed comb to
remove tangles. Section your hair off.
Starting close to the roots, place a thin strand of hair
(1–2 cm) between the styling plates and close them (A).
Gently glide the appliance from the roots to the hair ends
(B). Glide along the strand with a continuous movement
throughout the straightening process. This will ensure best
straightening results without damaging the hair. Do not
rest on one spot for longer than 2 seconds.
Be careful, all housing parts except for the handle area (2)
will get hot. Do not let hot housing parts get in contact with
your skin.
Styling curls
Hold the separated strand firmly by the ends and place the
root zone of the strand between the heating plates (C).
Turn the appliance so that the strand glides over the outer
housing (D) and slowly pull towards hair ends (E) and
beyond.
After use
After use, unplug the appliance and let it cool down for at
least 5 minutes. You may then attach the protective cap for
storing or transport.
Cleaning
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not use flam-
mable or aggressive cleaners or abrasive scourers. From
time to time, clean the appliance with a damp cloth and
use a soft cloth to dry.
Disposal
This product contains recyclable electronic waste.
To protect the environment, do not dispose of it in
the household waste, but take it to appropriate local
collection points.

Guarantee
We grant a 2 year guarantee on the product commencing
on the date of purchase. Within the guarantee period we
will eliminate any defects in the appliance resulting from
faults in materials or workmanship, free of charge either
by repairing or replacing the complete appliance at our
discretion.
This guarantee extends to every country where this appli-
ance is supplied by Braun or its appointed distributor.
This guarantee does not cover: damage due to improper
use, normal wear or use as well as defects that have a
negligible effect on the value or operation of the appli-
ance. The guarantee becomes void if repairs are underta-
ken by unauthorised persons and if original Braun parts
are not used.
To obtain service within the guarantee period, hand in or
send the complete appliance with your sales receipt to an
authorised Braun Customer Service Centre (address infor-
mation available online at www.service.braun.com).
