Features:
Application range: 12V battery.
Analyze battery by 5 accurate indexes: CCA Value, Resistance, State of Health,
Voltage, and State of Charge.
Working scope:
Measuring voltage range: 6V-18V
Working temperature: 0 to 50
Measure standard mode:
CCA: 100-1700
CA:100-1700
BCI: 100-1700
MCA:100-1700
SAE: 100-1700
GB:30-200Ah
JIS: 26A17-245H52(100-1700)
IEC 100-1000
EN: 100-1700
DIN: 100-1000
Operation Procedure:
Clamp connection:
Power for the tester comes from the test battery.
For battery testing, place the tester clamps around the battery posts during testing.
Red clamp(+ positive) terminal and black clamp(- negative) terminal should be attached
to the corresponding battery terminal. For higher accuracy, both sides of each battery
clamp need to have a solid connection with the terminal post.
A partial connection may result in the “ ” displaying on the left of the screen or cause
the tester not to turn on at all. To correct, ensure the clamps are properly fastened.
Test Function selection:
Press “ENT” button to turn on the tester, the tester starts up in programming mode
showing the last entered value or in the CA(Cranking Amps) mode if no earlier value
entered.
Press “ ” or “ ” button to choose the measure standard mode you need.
Press "ENT" button to enter the measure standard mode you chose,
press “ ” or “ ” button to set the value, after input values are entered, press "ENT"
button to start testing mode, the bar graph and “TEST ON” will show.
To re-test, press the "ENT" button.
Press the "ESC" button to return to the previous menu or submenu.
To turn off the tester, remove clamps from terminals.
Note: If the voltage of the battery is too low, the “ ” icon will blink in the lower left
corner of the screen. Recharge the battery and test again.
Checking results
1.The index below the bar graph on the display screen shows the capacity of the battery
which has an indication from 0-100%.
If the bar graph displays less than 40%, it indicates the battery is broken or too old and
should be replaced.
Graph displays between 40%-60%, the battery is old, replacement should be considered.
Graph displays between 60%-80%, the battery is workable.
Graph displays between 80%-100%, the battery is in good condition.
2.Values display: take CCA for example.
First row is the entered CCA value for the battery.
Second row is the actual test CCA value of the battery.
Press “ ” button, the screen changes to the next values display.
First row is the the mΩ resistance of the battery.
Second row is SOH (State of Health) of the battery.
Press “ ” button again, the screen changes to the next values display.
First row is voltage of the battery.
Second row is SOC (State of Charge) of the battery.
Note 1: When choose JIS Measure Standard Mode, please refer to JIS-CCA
Comparison Index to set CCA value.
Note 2: When the testing values are different by using different “measure standard
modes”, please give priority to the CCA testing results.
Note 3: Vehicles must be turned off for more than half an hour before testing the battery.
A fresh fully-charged battery should be tested after removing it from the charger
for half an hour.
Note 4: The battery is designed for a single 12V battery. Do not use on a series
connected battery.
