The Belson DS-303 is a versatile hair styling tool that combines the functions of a hair dryer and a curling brush. With its three heat settings (cool, high, low) and two interchangeable brush attachments (1-1/2" and 3/4"), it can be used to create a variety of hairstyles, from loose, bouncy curls to sleek, straight styles.

The DS-303 is also equipped with a tangle-free swivel cord and a safety tip, making it easy and safe to use. The built-in safety system automatically shuts off the unit if the air intake grille becomes blocked, preventing overheating and potential damage.

IMPORTANT: Never block air intake grille, as this will cause the unit to overheat.

Should this happen, a built-in safety system will operate, and the unit will shut

off automatically. At this point, turn the switch to Off, and clear any obstruction

from the air intake grille. Wait 10 minutes before attempting to operate

appliance again. If the unit fails to operate, it may indicate that the appliance

has sustained extensive damage.

Do not try to repair it yourself. Take it to an electrical service facility, or return it

to the manufacturer. See warranty for instructions.

CAUTIONS: Heating section should never be touched, as it may be hot and

burns may occur.

SPECIAL ATTENTION: This new appliance is designed with a protective coating

around the heating coils. When plugged in and operating for the first time, there

may be a little momentary smoking while this coating is initially heated. This

represents no danger to the user and does not indicate a defect in the unit.

When using for the first time, allow the appliance to continue running until the

smoke dissipates. This should last only about 30 seconds.

HOW TO USE THIS HOT AIR STYLING BRUSH COMBO: This styler functions as

a dryer; you can dry and style your hair at the same time by using either the 1-

1/2" or 3/4" brush attachment. Hair should be clean and free from dirt, hair spray

and creams. Your hair should not be wet. Use only when hair is damp.

This styling system has three heat settings, COOL /HIGH (2)/LOW (1). Use

HIGH (2) heat for normal easy-to-curl and hard-to-curl hair. Use LOW (1) heat

for hair that has been color-treated or is fragile or damaged; use COOL for

finishing the style.

TO USE: Taking one section of hair at a time, use either brush to roll hair in the

direction of the curl you want, and hold a few seconds. You’ll find the safety tip

a great help in winding, as you can use one hand on the handle and the fingers

of the other on the safety tip. When hair feels warm, curl is set; press the curl

release button to release tangle-free curls, and gently pull toward ends of hair.

Continue all over head until you have achieved the style you want and can brush

into place … also using the hot brush!

STYLING TIP: Most hairstyles are based either on curls that go under or curls that

flip up. Both methods are easy to achieve with this styler.

FOR PAGEBOY OR CURL-UNDER STYLES: Take small section of hair and place in

brush barrel. Roll AWAY from head and UNDER.

FOR FLIP-UP STYLES: Take small section of hair and place in brush barrel. Roll

TOWARD head and UPWARD.

When completely finished and all curls have cooled thoroughly, gently brush and

comb hair into the style desired.

NOTE: To avoid tangling, do not wind hair around brush more than two times.

COMMENT UTILISER VOTRE COMBINAISON DE BROSSES POUR LA MISE EN

PLIS À AIR CHAUD: Vos brosses de mises en plis fonctionnent comme un séche-

Ce système de mises en plis est muni de trois réglages de chaleur:

FROIDE /HAUTE (2)/BASSE (1). Utilisez une HAUTE (2) chaleur pour les cheveux

normaux faciles à friser et difficiles à friser. Utilisez une BASSE (1) chaleur pour

les cheveux teints, fragiles ou endommagés; utilisez l’air FROID pour finir la mise

en plis.

UTILISATION: En prenant une mèche de cheveux à la fois, roulez les cheveux

autour d’une des brosses dans la direction de la boucle que vous désirez et

retenez-les pendant quelques secondes. Le bout froid aide grandement à enrouler

les boucles, vous pouvez utiliser une main sur la poignée et les doigts de l’autre

main sur le bout froid. Lorsque les cheveux deviennent chauds au toucher, la

boucle est formée; enfoncez le bouton de dégagement des boucles pour dégager

les boucles non emmêlées et tirez doucement vers les extrémités des cheveux.

Continuez tout autour de la tête jusqu’à ce que vous ayez achevé le style que vous

désirez et coiffez vos cheveux ...utilisant aussi la brosse chaude!

Lorsque vous avez complètement fini et que toutes les boucles ont refroidi,

TO CONNECT CURLING BRUSHES: Hold handle in one hand and the

attachment in the other. Place attachment on end of handle opposite

cord and snap into place.

This appliance is permanently lubricated and will not require additional lubrication

for the life of the unit. It contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to

qualified service personnel.

WHILE USING: Untwist cord from time to time to avoid tangling.

TO CLEAN: Unplug unit and allow to cool. Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe

the surfaces. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the unit. Intake grille

must be cleared of any build-up of lint or hair with a small brush.

TO STORE: Unplug appliance, allow to cool, and store in its box or in a dry place.

Never store it while it is hot or still plugged in. Never wrap the cord tightly around

the appliance. Never hang unit by the cord. Do not put any stress on the cord

where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.

SERVICE NOTE: Before returning unit for service, please be sure the air intake

grille is free of lint and hair. If it is not, clean with a small brush and try to operate

the unit again.

CARE AND CLEANING

POLARIZED PLUG

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a

safety feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does

not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not fit, contact

a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS

1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.

2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.

4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any

are found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line

cord replaced. Please return it to our Service Department or to an

authorized service representative.

5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue

stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray

and break.

DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR

IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.

HOW TO USE
