DLS U2,5 is a midrange dome speaker that can be mounted recessed in a doorside or in the dashboard. The U2,5 is normally included in the three-way systems DLS U35
and U36. You can also use the speakers when building your own

MONTERING / MOUNTING:
U2,5 monteras infällt i dörrsida eller instrumentbräda. Eftersom
elementen är av dome-typ behövs ingen låda till dessa.
The U2,5 can be mounted recessed in a doorside or in the
dashboard. The dome-construction requires no box.
FILTER DESIGN
Då dessa högtalare har ett begränsat frekvensområde (250 Hz -
7kHz) måste alltid ett lämpligt filter konstrueras som begränsar
vilka frekvenser som matas till högtalaren. Har du en förstärkare
med inbyggt elektroniskt delningsfilter, eller ett separat aktivt
delningsfilter före förstärkaren behövs inget passivt filter.
Som passivt filter kan du antingen köpa originalfiltret som an-
vänds till U35/U36 (best.nr 9-25535) eller bygga ett eget.
Ett högpassfilter som stoppar lägre frekvenser (aktivt eller pas-
sivt) måste ALLTID användas, annars är risken stor att högtalaren
förstörs.
These speaker elements have a limited frequency range (250 Hz
- 7 kHz). You should always use a separate passive filter like the
original U35/U36 original filter box (order no. 9-25535), or design
your own passive filter.
If you have the speaker connected to an amplifier with built-in
active filters, or if you use a separate active filter before the
amplifier, you don´t have to use any passive filters.
A highpass filter (active or passive) should always be used to pre-
vent the speakers from getting damaged.
