Faults... Possible causes:
1. The appliance does not work.
• Has there been a power cut?
• Is the mains connector plugged in correctly?
• Is the mains isolator switched on?
• Has the fuse burned out?
• Is the mains cable damaged?
• Is the (A) key in Standby position?
2. The interior light does not function.
First check Point 1, then:
• Disconnect the device from the mains power supply.
• Notify Customer Service.
3. The temperature in the appliance compartments is not low enough.
• Do the doors close correctly?
• Is the appliance set up near a heat source?
• Is air circulation obstructed?
4. There is water on the base of the chiller compartment. • Is the condensate drain blocked?
5. Excessive frost buildup (icing) in the freezer compartment. • Is the door on the freezer compartment closed correctly?
6. The acoustic alarm is enabled and the red indicator lamp (F) ashes. The door was opened for longer than 2 minutes. Press the (F) key to shut down the signal tone or close the door.
7. The signal tone sounds, the red indicator lamp (F) ashes and the letter ‘F’ appears on the display. The temperature sensor is defective. To shut down the signal tone, press the (F) button and notify Customer Service.

A. ON/OFF, standby mode
By pressing the On/Off symbol, the refrigerator switches
on immediately once when connected to a power supply.
When switching on the device, the On/Off symbol lights
up and the temperature appears on the display. If the
On/Off symbol is pressed and held down for 3 seconds, the
refrigerator switches off and goes into its standby mode. In
standby mode, no symbols are displayed. If the device goes
into standby mode, a short signal tone sounds.
G. Shabbat Mode
To switch on the "Shabbat Mode", press this button
and hold down for 5 seconds. The symbol lights up as conrmation
that the appliance has gone into this mode and then goes out 3
seconds later. The "Shabbat Mode" remains active for 28 hours and
then shuts down automatically. In "Shabbat Mode" , all lights on
the refrigerator and the symbols at the user interface go out; only
the alarm functions (and the signal tone) are enabled. The "Shabbat
Mode" can be switched off at any time. To do this, press the Fast
Chilling symbol (E) and the Key Lock symbol (B).
NOTE: The device is normally factory-set to a recommended
operating temperature of +5°C. The temperature of the freezer
cabinet (-18 to -24°C) cannot be selected but is instead set
automatically by the electronic controller. The storage
temperature in the Fresh Box can be between –2°C and +3°C
(average temperature 0°/+2°C). This cannot be selected because
it is set automatically by the electronic controller. If you wish for a
lower temperature (between –2°C and +0°C ), you set the
refrigerator temperature via the display D to a lower value
(between +3°C and +4°C). If you wish for a more moderate
temperature (between +2°C and +3°C ), you set the refrigerator
temperature via the display D to a higher value (between 6°C
and +7°C).
Note: After a power failure, all values are reset to their default
settings.
Comments:
• If the alarm condition is set as described in Point 7, the temperature Reset button (C) and the (E) button are disabled, but the appliance continues to maintain the correct temperatures in the compartments to avoid any adverse impact
on the foodstuffs stored there.
• Changes in the operating noise (glugging noises and slight whistling of the refrigerant circuit) are entirely normal.
D. Temperature display
The display indicates the temperature of the
refrigerator.
Note: Whenever a product malfunctions, the
‘F’ (for ‘Fault’) message ashes on the display.
When this happens, please contact Customer
Service who will remedy the fault.
B. Key Lock
Press and hold down the Key Lock symbol for 3
seconds to enable this function. Once this function has been
enabled, the symbol lights up, and no further function
can be enabled. Press and hold down the Key Lock symbol for
3 seconds to disable this function.
E. Fast Freeze
For appliances with a freezer compartment
: the “Fast Freeze” function must be
switched on as soon as fresh food is placed in
the freezer compartment; this function
switches off automatically after 6 hours.
Fast Chilling
For appliances without a freezer compartment:
This function switches off automatically after
about 6 hours.
F. Alarm
If the door was left open, a signal tone
sounds after 2 minutes and the symbol
ashes.
Whenever the alarm is acknowledged by a
keystroke, the signal tone and the ashing
light stop. If the door remains open two
minutes later, the signal tone sounds again,
and the symbol starts to ash again. If the
door is closed, the symbol and signal tone
switch off.
C. Temperature setting
The standard temperature is 5°C. By pressing
°C, the temperature is reduced to the next
lower numeral. The temperature range is
between 2°C and 7°C. The setting is a rolling
one, starting at 7°C and again at 2°C.
