SURF MODE
The surf data is powered is by the WAVETRAK API,
the data behind SURFLINE, BUOYWEATHER, and
FISHTRACK with locations across the globe.
On the home screen, the default surf spot is set to
geo-locate and searches out the nearest surf spot to your
current location. To change this and add your favorite spot
to the home screen, tap on the menu icon (top left) and
select SURF from the hamburger menu.
Search and add your favorite locations to the list, your top
location will be displayed on the home screen. This is also
the surf data that is displayed on your watch, when you
change the top favourite location this will also change what
surf data is being sent to the watch. To shift spots, simply
hold on the location and move it up to the desired place
on the list.
TIDE ALERT
The Freestyle APP allows you
to select notifi cations for tidal
changes – so you can be alerted
on your watch when the tides
switches to high or low – and
be on your way to your local break.
ACTIVITY MODE
The Freestyle app has a range of activities preselected
for you to choose from. Once you select and initiate your
activity, there’s no need to take that phone out of your
pocket. All the data from the app will begin to display
on the watch for easy view, so you never miss a step.
To scroll through for the range of data, simply press
the front INFO pusher to see your:
• Activity time • Calories
• Average Speed • Elevation
• Distance • Direction
• Heart Rate*
* Accompanied by BLE HR chest belt or wrist band.
NOTE: FOR BEST ACCURACY – ENSURE THAT
YOU ADD INFORMATION INTO THE ACTIVITY PROFILE
IN SETTINGS.
Each activity session can be saved into the ACTIVITY LOG
for review and exported or shared.
USE MUSIC CONTROLS FROM YOUR WATCH
To initiate the music controls from the watch, ensure the
watch is in the TIME or WORLD TIME MODE, then press the
front INFO pusher. A command screen will appear with
a 1, 2 or 3 next to the corresponding side pusher. Hold
down the selected button until it beeps and you will be able
to control your desired selections from the watch set up.
3 To further control your smartphone’s music with your
watch you may set one of the three commands to NEXT
SONG to advance the song (see section on control settings
for instructions on changing
command settings).
The music player will only play
music stored on your phone. Music
can also be controlled within the
app by accessing the MUSIC
(ANDROID USERS ONLY) page
from the home screen.

USE CAMERA CONTROLS
FROM YOUR WATCH
To initiate the CAMERA controls from the watch, ensure
the watch is in the TIME or WORLD TIME MODE, then
press the front INFO pusher.
You can open your phone’s camera in several ways:
1 From the watch command screen, press and hold
the side pusher you have selected for CAMERA control.
2 You can tap on the CAMERA link
in the app’s side hamburger menu.
3 You can open the camera like you
normally would on your phone.
The picture will be saved in your
phone’s gallery where it may be
accessed later, edited and/or shared.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY LIFE
The Freestyle Shark Tooth is powered
by a watch battery, so there is no need to worry
about recharging. However, the battery does have
a limited life, so when you are not using the surf
data or any other functions – it is important to turn
it o to save watch power.
NOTE: SURF DATA WILL STORE IN THE WATCH
FOR 24 HOURS.
TURNING BLUETOOTH ON/OFF MANUALLY
1. In TIME or WORLD TIME MODE hold down
the control button until it beeps. ‘Disconnect’
will display on the screen. Your BLE connection
will turn o .
2. The watch will beep and the LINK ICON
will fl ash.
3. The X will then appear in the left corner
of the screen, to indicate you have turned
off the Bluetooth module.
4. To reconnect, repeat the steps. Pressing the
CONNECT button - The watch will beep and after a
few seconds should auto reconnect with the phone
so long as the mobile app is running on the phone.
* In order for a reconnection to be successful, the
app must remain open on your phone. The app can
sit in the background without problem, but if you
close the app, the phone does not know when to
reconnect to your watch.
