SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR SAFE USE
Safe use of these valves can only be ensured if they are
installed and operated by duly qualifi ed personnel and in
accordance with the following requirements:
INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
1. These components are not safety devices.
2. The electrical continuity between the valve body and the
piping system must be assured and verifi ed during instal-
lation.
3. To connect the valve bodies with fl ange-type connections
to the piping system, remove the paint around the area of
the screws.
4. The valves have a static dissipative coating as a standard.
Do not remove this fi nish or apply another coat of paint,
except on the surfaces around the area of the screws. (see
item 3 above).
RESTRICTIONS ON USE
In addition to the applications given in table, please observe
the following particular restrictions:
1. When using the valve with dustlike or gaseous fl uids that
can create an explosive atmosphere take all necessary
precautions so as not to circulate any solid particles within
the fl uid which may create impact or friction sparks when
coming into contact with the valve.
2. Do not let the valve seats come into contact with dusts
with a minimum ignition energy below 3 mJ.
3. Do not let the valves come into contact with dusts with a
minimum ignition energy below 3 mJ.
4. When using an accessory, please observe the specifi c
instructions provided with the accessory to assure the
conformity of the assembly with the ATEX directive.

1. Die Geräte sind keine Sicherheitseinrichtungen.
