Broan BR103123 is a wood hood rough-in kit that helps to locate the ductwork and electrical wiring for the hood. It does not support the weight of the Wood Hood or Wood Hood Kit. Here are some of its capabilities:

• The rough-in kit consists of a plate with an electrical outlet box, power cord, and mounting hardware.
• It can be used for either vertical or horizontal ducting.
• The rough-in plate should be mounted 18-24" above the cooking surface for best capture of cooking impurities.
• The electrical wiring should be connected to the wiring box according to the instructions in the manual.
• The ductwork should be positioned according to the dimensions shown in the manual and all joints should be taped.
