Installation and servicing
● All installation work and other work done on
the product must be carried out by a qualified
technician. Work performed by persons with
inadequate knowledge may adversely affect
the satisfactory functioning of the product and
may cause injury or damage.
● This appliance must be installed in a clean, dry
environment. Cabinet damaged, which is not
covered by guarantee, could ensue if this
recommendation is not adhered to.
● Servicing and repairs must be carried out by a
service company authorised by the supplier.
Use only spare parts supplied by these.
Never try to repair the machine yourself.
● Make sure that the dryer is not standing on its
electrical lead and also that the ventilation
opening at the bottom of the door is not
obstructed if the dryer is on a carpeted floor.
● The adjustable feet must not be removed, they
ensure that there is adequate ventilation under-
neath the dryer.
● If the electrical lead is damaged, it must be
replaced by manufacturer or its service agent
or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid
a hazard.
Child Safety
● Keep all packaging well away for children.
● The tumble dryer should be used by adults
only. Do not allow children to play with it or
touch its controls and moving/movable parts.
● Before loading the machine, check that there
are no foreign objects or pets inside the drum.
During Use
● This dryer is intended only for normal domestic
drying of laundry and only in accordance with
these instructions. If it is used for other purposes,
there is a risk that this may cause injury or
damage.
● Do not overload the dryer (see “Instructions
for Use”).
● Laundry which has been in contact with che-
micals such as stain removal products and
similar, should not be dried in the machine,
since volatile chemicals can be a fire risk.
● As some bulky items such as duvets and
eiderdowns should be dried in large commercial
machines because of their bulk, check with the
manufacturer of the item if it is suitable for drying
in a domestic machine, even if the dry weight
of the item is within the limit advised.
● Get into the habit of cleaning the condenser
regularly. Keeping the condenser as clean as
possible, makes the dryer more efficient and
means shorter drying times.
● Fluff filter must be cleaned after every use.
● Always switch off and unplug the dryer after use.
● Care must be taken when removing or re-
placing the condensor as it can be awkward
and heavy.
● Never start the dryer unless the fluff filter is
clean and correctly in place, or if the fluff filter
is damaged (this could cause overheating or
damage your load of laundry).
At the end of the dryer’s life
● Disconnect the electrical plug from the power
supply, then cut the electrical lead at the point
where it enters the dryer. Make quite sure that
children will not be able to play with it.
Before installing or using the tumble dryer, read the instruction booklet carefully, including its hints
and warnings. Doing so will help ensure that your dryer will function properly and to best advantage.
Anyone using the dryer should be thoroughly familiar with its instructions for use and the safety
aspects. Save these instructions and make sure they remain with the dryer if it is moved or sold,
so that everyone using it through its life can be properly informed on machine use and safety.
