It is recommended to install this plinth accessory if the adjacent kitchen bench height is greater than 850mm.
The plinth will lift the cooker up from a nominal height of 850mm to 900mm, creating better alignment of the
cooker hob with the bench. This may eliminate the need to leave 100mm clearance each side of the cooker,
which is needed only if the cooker hob height is below the adjacent bench height upon installation (refer
Instructions for the installer section in main instruction manual for more details).
IMPORTANT: The plinth must be installed before fitting the stability bracket to the back wall.
For use only with cooker models: EKM6700X, EKM6701X & EKC6707X
Plinth installation instructions
1. If the appliance is provided with a frontal
plastic base at the bottom, disengage it from
the appliance and remove it.
2. Carefully tilt the appliance backwards and
slowly lay it down on its back, taking care
not to cause any stress or damage
3. Using a Torx 20 head screw driver remove
the 2 fixing screws from the 2 metal “Anti-tip”
feet (letter “A”). Keep the screws, and
remove the metal feet. Then unscrew the 2
black plastic feet (letter “B”) and remove
them too.
4. Use the 2 previously removed fixing
screws and place them back in their relevant
holes, as shown in the diagram.
5. Unpack the accessory plinth
FRONT
6. Secure the accessory plinth to the bottom
of the appliance by means of the four
supplied fixing screws. Ensure that the
front side of the plinth with the “safety
screw” (“C”) is positioned to match
the front side of the cooker, as shown in
diagram.
7. Screw the 2 previously removed plastic
feet to the bottom of the plinth, take the
other 2 supplied plastic feet, and screw them
to the bottom of the plinth as well. Turn the
“safety screw” so that it comes out the plinth
for about 1 cm.

8. Lift the cooker upright and push it into the
intended position so that the back of the hob
is 40mm from the back wall. Mark the
position for the “safety screw” hole on the
floor, and mark the cooker heght on the back
wall taken from the top of the trivets (splash
back removed)
9. Drill a hole of 5mm diameter and depth 15mm where you marked the point on the ground.
11. Fix the stability bracket (using two of the
provided five fixing holes) to rear wall (see
diagram).
12. Pull the cooker towards the rear wall as
shown in the diagram. The stability bracket
should then come into contact with the
bottom panel of the cooker.
13. Remove the drawer, reach the head of
the “safety screw” from the inner side of the
plinth and fully screw it into the hole in the
ground.
14. If the appliance is provided with a frontal
plastic base at the bottom, re-fit the base
back to its position.
15. Check that the stability bracket securely
prevents the cooker from accidently tipping
forward when a downward force is applied to
the open oven door. Check that the safety
screw securely prevents the cooker from
accidentally being pulled forward.
10. Mark 760mm or 750mm depending on
model (see diagram) below the cooker
height. This is the position of the stability
bracket.
