Aiwa ADC-V107 is a stereo car CD changer system with a variety of features and possible use cases. It has a basic CD mechanism of 8ZG-4 VNF and is compatible with the System u-com. The device has a test mode that allows you to check the focus error wave, measure the laser current, and perform other diagnostic functions. The test mode can be activated by pressing and holding the STOP button on the PWB key and connecting +12V to ACC/BACK UP. To cancel the test mode, simply disconnect the +12V from ACC/BACK UP. The device also has a variety of other features, including:

SUPPLEMENT
1. FFC connector removal
Lift the connector lock upward at an angle of 90 degree to remove the FFC connector.
2. How to use repairing jig
For repair, use the jig kit specified as follows.

1. Using jig
1. CABI BOTTOM removal
1) Remove the CABI BOTTOM. VTT+2.6-6 B 4 pcs
2. P.W.B. VIDEO removal (fig-1)
1) Remove the screws and release the hooks, and then take out P.W.B. VIDEO. 2 hooks

2) Remove the PWB FLEX from the main unit. U+2.6-4 3 pcs
U+3-10 1 pcs
3. P.W.B. MAIN removal
1) Remove the soldered parts from each terminal of Transistor Q301 (2SD2395).
2) Remove the 2 motor wires (BLU/WHT).SD
3) Remove the 2 wires (BLK/BRN) from P.W.B. Sensor (PD701).
4) Remove the P.W.B. MAIN from the main unit. V+2-3 2 pcs

5) Remove the LED (LED701) from P.W.B. MAIN. GL380

from P.W.B. MAIN.
4. Jig assembly
1) Attach P.W.B. JIG to the unit with screws. (fig-2)

5. Parts installation
1) Solder the attached Transistor onto the previously removed Q301 of
P.W.B.MAIN.
6. Board wiring
1) Solder MOTOR wire and Sensor (PD701) wire, removed at Step 3,
onto P.W.B. JIG. (fig-2)
2) Solder wires from P.W.B. JIG onto respective land. (fig-3)
• Solder Motor Wire Blue of P.W.B. JIG onto COM of P.W.B. MAIN
IC401 and WHT Wire onto ORI. (fig-4)
• Solder LED (LED701) wires (RED, GLY) of P.W.B. JIG onto LED
land of P.W.B. MAIN. (fig-4)
• Solder Sensor Wire (BLK) onto HOT, located in the 32 pin of P.W.B.
MAIN IC701 and Sensor Wire (BRN) onto GND. (fig-5)
• Solder Sensor (PS701) Wire (YER, ORN, RED, BRN) of P.W.B. JIG
onto Sensor lands of P.W.B. MAIN. (fig-6)
• Solder Wire (WHT) from P.W.B. JIG, SW 202 onto S704 of P.W.B. MAIN. (fig-7)
• Solder Wire (BLK) from P.W.B. JIG, SW 203 onto S703 of P.W.B. MAIN. (fig-7)
• Solder Wires (GRY, WHT) from P.W.B. JIG, SW 402 onto S701 legs of P.W.B. MAIN. (fig-8)
7. Usage instructions
1) Wire the attached P.W.B. key to P.W.B. MAIN. (fig-9)
(The wire to connect P.W.B. key is not included to the unit.)

Note: The unit is not compatible to the P.W.B. key individual movement specified for JIGKIT.
Use the control unit for proper function.
2) After wiring, connect a cable between the control unit (CDC/CT) and the PWB. FLEX
DIN jack. (fig-10)
3) Connect +12V (positive) to ACC/BACK UP wire of the connector ASSY of the control
unit and – (negative) to GROUND wire.
4) Check that the unit is functioning properly.

TEST MODE
1) How to activate CD test mode
1) Press and hold the STOP button of P.W.B. Key and connect +12V to ACC/BACK UP.
2) How to cancel CD test mode
1) Disconnect +12V to ACC/BACK UP.
3) CD test mode functions
See fig-11 for the details of P.W.B. key and functioning buttons.
* Press the STOP key every time switching a mode.
* When a head unit is connected, the unit displays disc number and track number as it does ordinarily.
Note 1) If the focus search function is operated consecutively more than 10 minutes, the driver IC generates heat, the protection circuit is
activated to terminate CD mode. In this case, turn off the power, and wait for about 10 minutes to release heat before turning on the
switch.
Note 2) The System u-com is not compatible to all modes in TEST MODE. Therefore, an inserted disc does not work properly.
Note 3) Apply a disc change operation from the disc unit.
