Operation
Use a 12 V/DC power supply to operate the board camera. Do not use any other power
supply under any circumstances. The power supply must supply an output current of
100 mA. Avoid overloading the power supply at all costs.
If you use a power adaptor as power supply, turn it off before connecting it.
Heed correct polarity when connecting. Failure to do so may result in damage to
components of the board camera.
Camera connections
Connect the board camera – depending on your version – as follows:
Item no. 1013266 - connect the connection cable’s white plug to the + - V socket on the board camera
Item no. 1013269 - connect the connection cable’s white plug to the + - V A socket on the board camera
Item no. 1013270 - connect the connection cable’s 6-pin plug to the 6-pin socket,
connect the connection cable’s 3-pin plug to the 3-pin socket on the board camera.
The plug ts into the socket only if connected with correct polarity alignment.
Video connection
Connect the video input of your TV device or monitor to the connection cable’s BNC socket.
Use a suitable optional BNC connection cable (polarity: video inlying, ground outlying).
Only use sufciently shielded BNC cables as an extension, if needed. Use of other unsuitable
cables may result in malfunction.
The cable length should be kept as short as possible.
Electrical connection
Connect the power supply hollow socket on the camera connection cable to a suitable power adaptor. The
DC low-voltage plug must have the following features:
Dimensions: exterior 5.5 mm, interior 2.1 mm.
Polarity: inlying positive terminal (+), outlying negative terminal (-).
The board camera with SONY CCD 700TVL 8.47 mm (1/3”), item no. 1013270, features an
on-screen delay (OSD). A multipath switch for operating the on-screen display is located on
the connection cable. A description of the on-screen display is available in English from our
website, www.conrad.com.
Maintenance and cleaning
The board camera requires no maintenance except occasionally cleaning the lens.
Use a clean, lint-free, anti-static, dry cloth to clean the lens.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as they
can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
