1 Upgrade Description

This document describes Upgrade Guide of K5150.

K5150 upgrade file: K5150 QuickStart Firmware v7.2.exe

3 Upgrading Process

3.1 Preparation before Upgrading

1. Make sure the Operating System is windows XP/vista/win7.

2. Make sure adequate power to the computer during the upgrade process.

3.2 Normal upgrade process

1. Insert device into Windows PC. Please check the ‘Computer Management’ ->

‘Device manager’ -> ‘Network adapters’

If the ‘Vodafone Mobile Broadband Quickstart’ appears, please go to next step directly.

Otherwise, please install the software indicated and provided by this device, because this

installation is very essential for the following upgrade.

2. Please run upgrade program: ‘K5150 QuickStart Firmware v4.7exe’ , then the

below windows will be displayed, please click”Next”

3. click” Next ”

4. Click Start, the board will enter updating. At the following step, the board will

reset and enter updating again. It will take several times but not long.

5. After click”Start” , as below displayed:

6. At last, all work complete, as below displayed (actual version is depended on the

upgraded firmware ), click”Exit”.

7. After Upgrade Finish, please plug out the device, than insert K5150 again.

8. It’s highly recommended to do ‘Device Restore’. Please click WebUI Help ->

Diagnose.

3.3 Check software version

1．To the homepage: http://192.168.9.1, and login

then select “Help-->”Diagnostics” can see Version NO. 7.2, as below displayed:
