Congratulations on the purchase of your new Facelyft Pillow, which we invented to help
protect our patients from the facial skin winkling that can occur while side sleeping.
Now you can benefit from this same technology, even if you have not had facial
rejuvenation procedures. The Facelyft Pillow is, truly, a medical device with a specific
purpose, but it is also one of the most comfortable pillows ever created. However,
getting used to a different pillow can take up to four weeks, so here are some tips to help
you get the most out of your new face-saving pillow:
Use a satin, or silk pillow case. The pillow is
is not washable.
If you are sleeping on your side, place your ear in the recess near the edge of the
pillow with the widest part of the pillow toward the top of your head. You should be
facing away from the center of the pillow. The bottom corner should be supporting
your neck, under your jaw. The top corner of the pillow supports your forehead, and
the edge of the pillow supports your temple. No portion of the pillow should touch
your cheek and chin, where normal pillows usually create wrinkles.
If you prefer a lower profile pillow, the Facelyft Pillow has a zipper along the top
border, and you can remove as much of the high-quality, hypo-allergenic, fiber fill as
necessary to make it a custom fit to your anatomy. You can remove the fiber over a
plastic bag so you can safely store it in case you want to replace it later. The
remaining fiber in the pillow can be repositioned, also, for comfort and custom
support.
The first nights you sleep on the Facelyft Pillow, use it as long as you can, but if it
becomes uncomfortable, switch back to your usual pillow. Also, if you have special
medical problems with your neck, consult your doctor before using this pillow. You
may want to remove the memory foam tube inside the base of the pillow if it is
uncomfortable. Each night, you will find you can spend more hours on the Facelyft
Pillow, and soon, you will not be as comfortable on anything else, especially since
you know you are helping to protect your face! I hope you will be up to the
challenge of learning how to maximize the benefit of this wonderful device, which
has helped so many of my patients!
Remember! How you sleep, is how you look!
