How to Care for Your Plastic Bowl
Only wash your bowl with warm water. Do not use soap, detergents or glass cleaners
as they may leave residues and damage the bowl.
To avoid scratching the surface of the bowl, always clean with a micro-fiber cloth or your
hand. Do not use a sponge or scrubber as they may scratch the bowl.
Do not place in dishwasher or very hot water as damage to the bowl may occur.
If Keeping Fish:
If you are keeping fish and want to clean the bowl, you will need to move your fish to
another container that has never been washed with soap or detergents.
1. Take some of the existing water from the fish bowl and fill the container with enough
water where your fish will be comfortable while you are cleaning the bowl.
2. Net the fish out of the bowl and place them in the other container.
3. Wash your bowl with warm water. Do not use soap, detergents, or glass cleaners as
they may leave residues and can be harmful to your fish.
4. Once clean, refill bowl with water and add a water conditioner to remove chlorine or
other chemicals in tap water.
5. Net fish from temporary container and place back in clean bowl.
White Residue from Hard Water:
How do you clean a cloudy film on the bowl? The white deposits on the rim that occur
as water evaporates, leaving calcium or salt minerals.
1. Use a vinegar and water mixture, mix one part of distilled white vinegar to two parts
of water.
2. Let the filled bowl sit for one hour.
3. Rinse away vinegar residue by filling and emptying the bowl twice.
4. If residue remains, dip a clean micro-fiber cloth into vinegar and gently wipe the bowl
clean. Place the bowl under the sink faucet and rinse the inside and outside
thoroughly.
