MOUNTING SYSTEM: A MOUNTING SYSTEM is the
primary Chief product to which an accessory and/or component
is attached.
ACCESSORY: AN ACCESSORY is the secondary Chief
product which is attached to a primary Chief product, and may
have a component attached or setting on it.
COMPONENT: A COMPONENT is an audiovisual item
designed to be attached or resting on an accessory or mounting
system such as a video camera, CPU, screen, display,
projector, etc.
WARNING: A WARNING alerts you to the possibility of
serious injury or death if you do not follow the instructions.
CAUTION: A CAUTION alerts you to the possibility of
damage or destruction of equipment if you do not follow the
corresponding instructions.

installer’s responsibility to make sure the combined weight of
all components attached to the mounting system does not
exceed 80 lbs (36.3 kg) for the OMNDBF46 or 100 lbs (45.3
kg) for the OMNDBF55.

Assembly And Installation
1. Slide two post covers (D) onto two floor posts (A). (See
Figure 1)

2. Use four M8x20mm button head cap screws (E) to attach
floor posts (A) to display. (See Figure 2)

3. Using floor post bases (A) as templates, mark four holes at
outside hole locations for each column. (See Figure 3)
WARNING: Do NOT install OMNDBF46/55 mounts to any
surface other than concrete or wood! Concrete flooring must
be at least 4" in thickness and NOT be covered with any other
type of flooring material. Concrete anchors must be installed
directly into concrete surface. Wood flooring must be at least
1 1/2" in depth which may include the subfloor.
IMPORTANT ! : Make sure columns will be installed far
enough away from any walls so that displays may be
installed.
4. Using a 25/64" (10mm) (CONCRETE) or a 7/32" (5.5mm)
(WOOD) drill bit, drill a hole 3 1/2” in depth at each marked
location. (See Figure 3) and (See Figure 4)
5. Blow each hole clean of any debris with a large air hose or
compressed air in a can. (See Figure 3) and (See Figure 4)
6. (CONCRETE ONLY) Use a hammer to install concrete
anchors (H) into the drilled holes. (See Figure 3)
7. Place each floor post base (A) on top of installed anchors
(H) or drilled holes making sure holes on plate are aligned
with holes. (See Figure 3) and (See Figure 4)
8. Install four 5/16 x 2 1/2" hex head cap screws (G) through
5/16" washers (F) and into four anchors (H) or drilled holes
to secure each column base to floor. (See Figure 3) and
(See Figure 4)
9. Tighten each anchor by turning the head three to four turns
past finger tight. (See Figure 4)
