Therearethreedisplayformatsineach
TimeZoneinNORMALTIMEmode:date/
time,tide/timeandbigtime.

Tochangefromonedisplayformatto

Indate/timedisplayformat,
theprimarytimedayanddateareshown
inthetopofthedisplay;thetimeinhours,
minutesandsecondsisshowninthebot-
tomofthedisplay.Thedataisshowninthe
DateandTimeFormatsofthedisplayed
TimeZone,whicharesetinthismode
alongwiththedateandtime.
Ifthereispreviousandupcomingtidedata,
theleft-handpartofthedisplayshows
thetidestatusforthecurrentlyselected
tidelocation.Otherwise,nographicis
displayed.
Intide/timedisplayformat,
thedisplayisidenticaltothedate/time
formatexceptthatthenexttide(highor
low)forthecurrentlyselectedtidelocation,
thetimeofthenexttide,anditsheightare
showninplaceofthedayandthedate.The
tidetimeisshowninthesameformatas
theprimarytime.TheTideHeightisshown
inthecurrentTideHeightunitselected.
Ifnopreviousorupcomingtidedatais
available,thisformatshallbeunavailable
andtheformatshallreverttodate/time.
Inbigtimedisplayformat,
onlythehoursandminutesoftheprimary
timeareshown,noAM/PMindication.
Asharknanimationshalloccuronceper
minutes.Forevenminutes,thenshall
movefromlefttorightonedotcolumnat
atime,andforoddminutes,thenshall
movefromrighttoleft.
Thebigtimedisplayformatisincludedonly
iftheBigTimeOptionison.
NOTE:Thecurrenttidelevelanddirection
(risingorfalling)shallbepresentedbya
tidestatusgraphic,whichisrepresentedby
anarrowheadtwodotshighandthreedots
wide.Thestepsshallappearasfollows:
Indisplays1through10,thetideisrising;
whileindisplays11through20,thetide
isfalling.Whenthetimeofdayadvances
totheminuteafterthetimeofhightide,
display11isshown;whenthetimeofday
advancestotheminuteafterthetimeof
lowtide,thesequencerepeatsbeginning
withdisplay1.
TO USE TIDE DATA
Fordisplayingtideinformationofcurrent
timeandlocation,
1.PressS3buttontoselectTIDEmode.
Thefavoritenumberandthenameof
currenttidelocationwillappear.
2.Aftertwoseconds,thenextupcoming
tide(highorlow),baseontheprimary
time,forthecurrenttidelocationwill
bedisplayed.Thedatewillbedisplayed
inthetopline,thenexttidewillbedis-
playedinthemiddlelinefollowedbythe
timeofthattide(withasuperscriptA/P
representingAM/PMin12-hourformat),
andtheheightofthenexttidewillbe
displayedinthebottomline(including
minussignifnecessary).
3.PressS1orS2buttontodisplaythe
previousandnexttiderespectively.
4.PressandholdS1buttonorS2button
untilthe“SCAN”messageappearsto
initiatedatescanningintheforwardor
backwarddirectionrespectively.
5.Releaseeitherbuttonwhenthedesired
dateisdisplayed.
6.Afterabandoningthedatescanning
procedure,whilethe“SCAN”messageis
stilldisplayed,pressS1buttonorS2
buttontomoveforwardorbackward
respectivelythedisplayeddatebyone
day.Pressandholdthecorrespond-
ingbuttonstoreinitiatedatescanning.
NOTE:Ifnopreviousorupcomingtidedata
isavailable,thesentence“NOTIDEDATA
FORDATE”willbedisplayed.
NOTE:Thedate,timeandtideheightunit
willbedisplayedintheformatsofthe
primarytimesetinNORMALTIMEmode.
NOTE:IfthedisplayedtimerepresentsDST
(daylightsavingstime),whichmeansthat
thetimewasadjustedfromthestoredtide
data,theDSTagwillappear.
NOTE:Scanningshallstopautomatically
ifthelastdateforwhichthereistidedata
isreached.
