Please move the vertical lever to adjust the
air-flow direction as required manually.
When the unit is operating and the horizontal louvers
are in a set position, to adjust the airflow simply take
hold of the left or right lever on the horizontal louvers
and re-adjust the louvers as required.
Please use the remote controller to adjust horizontal louvers so as to adjust the vertical
air flow direction.

The opening controlled by the horizontal louver should not be too narrow as this will
affect both cooling and heating efficiency.
Do not manually adjust the vertical louver or it may malfunction during operation.
lf the louver malfunctions, turn the unit off immediately and unplug it for several minutes.
Unit should function normally when re-energized.
Do not operate the air conditioner for long periods with the airflow direction set downward
during the cooling or drying operation as this may result in condensation forming on the
surface of the vertical louver and water dripping into the room.
When the air conditioner restarts, the vertical louver may remain in a set position for a short
period of time. This is normal.
During the initial unit break-in period, you may experience some noise when the horizontal
louver is turning. This is normal.
Please read this Owner s Manual carefully before operating the unit and strictly follow the
suggested operation methods. Failure to do so may result in serious damage to the unit and could
also cause personal injury or property damage.
Check that the ground wire is not broken off and that it is well secured.
Check that the air filter is installed correctly.
After a long period of non-use,make sure that the air filter is checked and cleaned. Refer to the
CARE AND MAINTENANCE section for details.
Be sure that air inlet and air outlet of the indoor and outdoor units are not blocked.
The following should be noted to ensure an economical operation. (Refer to corresponding
chapter for details)

While in the cooling mode, close the curtains to avoid direct sunlight entering and warming the room.
To keep cool or warm air in the room, avoid the unnecessary opening of doors and windows.
Set the timer for the desired operating time.
Never put obstructions near the air outlet or the air inlet as it will cause lower efficiency and may
even cause the unit to cease functioning.
To ensure heating and cooling efficiency, please clean the air filter once every two weeks.
Do not attempt to install this unit yourself. This unit requires installation by qualified persons.
For proper performance, always operate the unit under the usable operating temperature and
humidity conditions indicated in this Owner s Manual. Operating the unit beyond these conditions
could cause malfunctions such as condensation dripping from the indoor section.
Always maintain the room temperature at a comfortable level especially if there are children, elderly
people, or infirm people in the room.
In rare cases, the unit may temporarily experience erratic behaviour due to factors such as lightning
storms, running automobiles , or mobile phone use.
In the case of an interruption of power, please cut off the power supply to the unit, wait a few minutes,
and connect with the power supply again.
Please keep all electrical switches out of the reach of children.
If you plan to be away for an extended period of time, please disconnect the unit with the power
supply.
To prevent accident, turn off the power or disconnect the power supply plug before beginning
any cleaning or other routine maintenance.
When cleaning the unit use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners as
these might mar the finish. NEVER SPRINKLE WATER ON THE UNIT AS THIS MAY RESULT IN
ELECTRICAL SHOCK.
Never put hands or objects into the air outlet of indoor and outdoor units. These units contain
a fan running at high speed. Touching the moving fan will cause serious injury.
To avoid injury, never touch the grille while the airflow louver is running.
Do not remove the fan cover from the outdoor unit.
To avoid the risk of serious electrical shock, never sprinkle or spill water or liquid on either the
indoor unit or the remote controller.
To avoid the risk of fire, please keep inflammables such as hairspray, spray lacquer and
gasoline away from the air conditioner.
NEVER SERVICE THE UNIT YOURSELF. In case of any malfunction of the unit such as abnormal
noises or sounds, abnormal smells, fog in the room, high temperatures, water dripping, etc.,please
turn off the power and contact your dealer or servicer.
Do not allow young children to operate this unit.
