Attaching the Ferrite Cores
You must attach the ferrite cores before using the M-16DX.
If you connect digital devices to the M-16DX’s coaxial connectors (DIGITAL IN/OUT), you
must attach the included ferrite cores to the cables connected to DIGITAL IN and DIGITAL
OUT.
Not only should you attach a ferrite core near the M-16DX’s DIGITAL OUT, you also need
to attach one near the DIGITAL IN of the digital device you’re connecting.
This is for the purpose of preventing electromagnetic noise; do not remove it.
1.
Attach the ferrite cores to the
coaxial cables.
* You must attach them near the M-16DX/
digital device.
2. Wrap the coaxial cables
around the ferrite cores; one
turn is enough.
3. Press the halves together
until they click shut.
* Be careful not to pinch your fingers when attaching the ferrite cores.
* Do not damage the cables by pinching them excessively with the ferrite cores.
