Appliance Set Up
1)AfterplacingtheFogataGrandeinthedesiredlocation,
locatetheovalholeintherebowlandbesureitisposi-
tioned towards the leg where the gas connection is to be
made.
2)Withthelettersprovided,usingtape,identifyleg“A”as
thelegtowhichthegasvalveassemblywillbeattached.
Movingcounterclockwise,labletheremaininglegs“B”,“C”
and“D”asshowninFigure1.Thiswillassityouininstalling
thelogsafterthegasconnectionshavebeenmade.
3)AsshowninFigure2,layleg“A”onitsface(onasmooth
nonabrasivesurfaceto prevent damaging thesurface)to
begintheassemblyofthegassystem.
Asshow,placethegasvalvecontrolboxontheinsideofleg
“A”.Locatetheopenendoftheboxassembly1/2inchback
fromtheedgeofthelegasshowninFigure1.
Nextpositionthetopangewiththetwokeyholeanchor
-
ing holes approximately 3/4 inch down from the seam as
shown.Pre-Drilltheholeswithamasonrydrillbitandse-
curethetwomasonryscrewsthroughthetopoftheholes
providedintotheleg.Donotcompletelytightensincethe
controlboxwillneedtoberemovedinordertocompletethe
nalinstallation.
Once the screws have been installed, remove the valve
controlboxinordertoassembletheothercomponenets.

have already been installed on burner. In the event that
thePilotassemblyisnotinstalled,locatethecrosssection
oftheburnerwiththecoloredhighlight.(thiswillbeonthe
innerringatthecrosssection.Notetheport-holeswillbe
facingdown).InsertthePilothoodbracketovertheburner
tubeandslideitforwardsothetopfrontclipslidesoverthe
tubeoftheburnerandcoversthehighlightedmarkingson
theburnertube.Inordertoassembletheunit,thePilothood
bracketmayneedtobeinsertedatanangleandtwistedinto
placetoensurethattheunitisinitsproperposition.

approvedand/orlicensed as required by the locality.(In
theCommonwealthofMassachusettsinstallationmustbe
performedbyalicensedplumberorgastter.)
Note: A listed (and Commonwealth of Massachusetts
approved)1/2in.(13mm)T-handlemanualshut-offvalve
and exible gas connector are connected to the 1/2 in.
(13mm)controlvalveinlet.
• If substituting for these components, please consult
