ASSEMBLY

sembled and all fasteners are secure.
ATTACHING THE HANDLE

S Assemble handle to the unit as shown;
makesurebottomofhandleisseatedinthe
groove in the trigger housing.
NOTE: Adjustment knob must be as-
sembledonthe sideof theunit oppositethe
operators position.
S Pivot handle to a comfortable position.
Tighten handle securely.
ATTACHING THE SHIELD
WARNING: The shield helps to protect
theoperatorandothersfromthrownobjects,
andisequippedwithalinelimiterbladewhich
cutsexcessline.Thisblade(onundersideof
shield) is sharp and can cut you.
S Remove wing nut from shield.
S Insert bracket into slot as shown.
S Pivotshielduntilboltpasses throughhole
in bracket.

FUEL YOUR UNIT
This engine is certified to operate on un-
leaded gasoline. Gasoline must be mixed
withagoodquality2-cycleair-cooledengine
oil designed to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1.
Poulan/Weed Eater brand oil is recom-
mended.(A 40:1ratio isobtained bymixing
3.2 ounces of oil with 1 gallon of unleaded
gasoline). When mixing fuel follow the
instructionsprintedonthecontainer.Always
readandfollowthesafetyrulesunderFUEL
SAFETY.
