After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BEFORE use, make sure that

all attaching component parts are secure.

1. Removethetwomountingscrewsandwashersthatsecurethebackupholstery

tothebackcanes(Detail“A”).

2. Removethetwomountingscrews,locknuts,and(forwheelchairs

manufacturedafter11/1/2005)spacersthatsecureonebackcanetothe

wheelchairframe(Detail“C”).

3. Pulltheloosebackcaneoutofthebackupholstery.

4. Slideanewbackcanethroughthebackupholstery.

5. Securethenewbackcanetothewheelchairframeatthedesiredbackheight

withthetwomountingscrews,locknuts,and(forwheelchairsmanufactured

after11/1/2005)spacers(Detail“B”).

NOTE:Forwheelchairsmanufacturedafter11/1/2005,thespacersmustbeontheoutside

ofthewheelchairinorderforthemountingscrewstobeproperlytightened(Detail“C”).

6. RepeatSTEPS2‐5fortheotherbackcane,ensuringthatthebackheightselected

inSTEP5isthesameforbothbackcanes.

7. Securethebackupholsterytothenewbackcaneswiththeexistingmounting

screwsandwashers(Detail“A”).
